SAO fan-fic series: Kirigaya Sayuri

Chapter 1: Online addictions

As night fell, I was starting to get really hungry. Haru was sitting beside me on my bed, reading a book. I stare at her with my brown eyes, "Haru!" I stop her from reading. "I'm hungry."

She nods in agreement and we both stroll outside to the living room. "Suguha!" she came runnign from her room, "Sorry, forgot to make dinner."

Suguha was 12, but she was an amazing chef. Mom comes home realky late, so it's always up to Sugu.

She raced into the kitchen, Haru and I followed. The aroma in there was so nice. Suguha may be the best chef I know. She casually dumped in some condiments and turned on the stove. "Hey, Yuri." she is the best sister ever, eslecially with that smile, "Can you go get the pepper for me?"

"Kay Sugu!" I reached out my hand to get the pepoer on the too shelf. Too high. I step onto the counter, I reached for the shelf and yanked the pepper off the shelf.

I jumped off the counter and handed Sugu the pepper.

"Thanks." she dumped that in too. "Go outside you two"

We nodded and stepped outside the kitchen. Usually, Kazuto would be sitting on the couch watching some comedy show. But the couch was vacant.

While Haruka ran into our room, I went ti check Kazuto's.

"Kazuto?" I knock om his door. It was all quiet, I wonder what happened. "Come out."

He opened the door. "Hey Yuri."

I looked into his room, the computer was on, an online game? "C-can I come in?"

He looks at the computer screen, "I guess?"

I stepped into his room, I barely come in here. He had a simple bed beside the white walls, a small desk with a computer planted on it, and a TV that seems to be really old.

I flop on his bed. "Whatcha doin?"

He sat down to face the computer once again, "Online games are fun."

I nod, "I see..."

I shifted over to the computer, he was really good at this game. The way his sword moved and killed. It was amazing.

"Dinner's ready!" Suguha announced. I moved away frok Kazuto, heading towards the door. His eyes glued to the screen.

"Kazuto.. You have to eat."

"Nah, I'll skip dinner." he called, still staring at the screen.

That was realky shocking, he bever says no to dinner. He's my brother, it's normal to be worried right? Haru would freak out about this. Literally, freak out.

I walked out into the hallway and closed Kazuto's door behind me. I saw Sugu and Haru sitting at the dinner table already.

"Where's Kazuto?" Haruka asked. She was holding strands of her hair and stroking them. Her face showed an expression of sadness and worry. Kazuto means more to her than he does to me.

"He won't eat." I left out the part about the video game. She would get really worried probably.

"Why! Did he already eat!?" her eyes popped out of her face. "KAZUTO!" she suddenly yells.

Kazuto's too busy with the video game to care about us anymore. He probably never did. "Haru. Just eat." Sugu calmed her, stroking her head.

No one said anything during dinner.

Haruka: Probably worried about Kazuto

Suguha: She knows about his addiction

Is it wrong to be worried about your own brother? I had a sick and uneasy feeling in my stomach. Sugu's food was so good, but Kazuto...
