Lucy woke up in the morning, cuddled into Billie. She got up, careful not to wake him, going downstairs and making some breakfast for them. She turned around when she heard someone walk in and smiled
"Sorry..I was just making breakfast for us, you want some?" She asked who she could only assume was his brother. He nodded and smiled
"So you're Billie's girlfriend?" He asked, leaning against the counter. Lucy chuckled
"No..he's not that lucky," she smirked, "is peanut butter and bananas on toast good?" She asked, having hunted for things she could eat in the house. He nodded and smiled
"What's the girl like?" He asked curiously
"She's okay I guess, I think she makes him happy," Lucy answered, grabbing two plates of food
"Okay..keep an eye on him won't you?" He asked, she nodded and slowly headed back upstairs.

"I made us some food," she told him, holding up the plates. Billie took a plate and hummed
"You'll have to stay over more often," he murmured, closing his eyes and grinning. "M'gonna tell Lauren I can't go tonight and we could go to Mike and Tré's apartment or something," he suggested. Lucy nodded and smiled
"Sounds good," she answered softly.

The four teens sat on a the roof, sharing a joint as they looked out over the city. Lucy glanced at Billie, smiling at his obvious lack of control of his limbs.
"How did Lauren take to you cancelling plans?" She asked with a smirk. He rolled his eyes
"She was mad," he answered, taking a long drag from the joint before handing it back, she took a drag and grabbed his arm as she noticed a bruise
"Rob do that?" She asked, looking at the bruise on his arm. He glanced down and licked his lips nervously.
"Uh..yeah," he answered, playing off like it was nothing. She frowned and hummed. She could read Billie like an open book and she knew straight away he was lying, but she also knew there was no point pushing it.

--

A few weeks passed, and Mike, Tré and Lucy started to see less and less of Billie again. He and Lauren had been together almost five months now, and the band needed to get into the recording studio and finish their album.

Lucy eventually decided to go round to see Billie unannounced. His brother let her in and pointed to his room, she paused outside, listening to whatever song he was playing. She listened for a moment to the song, then gently knocked on the door, smiling as she went in
"Hey," she perched on his bed "I just came round to see how you are..we haven't seen you in weeks," she murmured. Billie shrugged
"Been with Lauren," he mumbled. Lucy hummed and looked down
"Mike and Tré really need you in the studio," she told him in a desperate attempt to start conversation, he looked up
"I'll be in tomorrow," he answered vacantly. He suddenly sat up a little straighter as he remembered the news he had "remember when I promised to get you out of here?" He asked, she nodded and smiled "I got a call about going down for LA to play a slot in a small festival for small underground bands, and then hopefully getting a chance for a record deal," he grinned. Lucy gasped and hugged him excitedly.
"That's so amazing," she grinned, "we've gotta go tell the others and get you in that studio," she added, pulling him up and towards the door. She in the passenger seat of his car and they drove to break the news to Mike and Tré.
