Upon arriving at Lucy's apartment, Billie realised he'd never actually seen inside. He greeted her brother politely, smiling a little as Lucy grabbed his arm and dragged him to her room, where she'd put a mattress in the middle of the floor with some sheets and a duvet. He looked around, she had posters of bands they mutually enjoyed, alongside various quotes and symbols painted on the walls. Her scruffy chucks were lazily dumped by her bed. He noted how it smelled of her – or more the scent she always sprayed herself with. She had various sketchbooks scattered around her desk, one open on a drawing of a crooked, smiling flower in a plant pot
"I like that," he commented, admiring the flower closer. Lucy shrugged
"I was just doodling yesterday," she answered, smiling softly at the complement. She grabbed Billie's hand after a moment "wanna see the best place to smoke?" She asked with a grin. He nodded and followed as his friend lead him up to the roof and sat, her legs dangling over the edge of the building "you can see almost all of Rodeo," she smiled, leaning into Billie as she produced a joint and lit it, handing it to Billie.

"We found someone to help us put out the record, we're playing at Gilman on Friday," he announced. Lucy grinned and nudged him.
"This is going to take off big time for you guys, I can already tell," she murmured.
"We changed the name as well, one of the songs on the album is called Green Day and we all pretty much agreed it sounds better..less like a Guns'n'Roses tribute," he chuckled. Lucy hummed in agreement
"You heard it here first folks, Green Day will be unstoppable," she yelled into the night, laughing when someone stuck their head out of the window to tell them to shut up. They fell quiet as the weed took effect, Lucy put her head on Billie's shoulder, closing her eyes as she let her mind wander. She stood up after what seemed like an eternity, grabbing Billie's hand and pulling him up.

"Lets go find something to do," she grinned, going down all the stairs, eventually coming out in the street. She looked over at him
"Gonna tell me what happened then?" She asked. Billie hummed
"Later, right now I want to go have fun," he smiled. Lucy nodded
"That I can arrange," she grinned, holding up $30 she had grabbed before they left "we'll get food then go see who's on at gilman," she suggested. Billie nodded and smiled.

They got back to the apartment at around midnight, Lucy immediately grabbed some clothes and a towel.
"Make yourself comfy, I'm having a shower while it'll be warm," she told him. Billie, nodded, a confused expression over the heating of the shower "we share the water tank with three other floors and if anyone else is having a shower then it makes them both cold so I usually wait until midnight," she explained.

Billie watched her go, smiling when she came back, her usual lack of clothing replaced with sweatpants and a big jumper and fluffy socks. He smiled
"Cold?" He asked, she shrugged, letting her hair hang wet to her shoulders. She smiled
"Comfy," she answered "I'll grab a duvet and blankets for you, it gets really cold in here at night but I can't sleep with the window shut," she murmured.

They lay in silence for a while before Billie spoke
"Do you really think the band could make it?" He asked. Lucy laughed a little
"If you don't make it..then the world has truly gone mad," she grinned, reaching down and squeezing his hand.
