She woke up. Where am I? Saffire thought. She was laying in an uncomfortable cott, a small dresser resting next to it. It had two small items in it, a toothbrush and a bar of soap. No, it's not a dresser, she thought, it's a sink! Safire noticed the bars around the small area.
"You finally woke up," a small human hissed. She had not met this particular human before. She
had only met one human in the 13 years that she had lived.
It was a surprisingly beautiful female that had a spiked crown made of a shimmering royal gold, the most breathtaking hue of yellow Saffire had seen. It gleamed with huge diamonds and sparkling crystals. The human who owned the stunning crown had stabbed her with spears for misbehaving, but the lacerations never drew blood.
There was a large scar under Saffire's wing. It was shaped like a large bite mark and it was cut deep. She remembered the scar was from her first escape attempt. She had managed to get past the throne room, but that's where she encountered her captor. The Queen. The evil woman had thrown the sharp crown at her. Saffire had thrown her wing trying to protect her face and it instead pierced under her wing. The scales hadn't fully healed either
"What do you want?" She asked the guard. The guard seemed baffled with her ability to talk.
"Well Dragon,"She said shakily, "I was instructed to never open your cage door and only give you food once a week." The guard left, and a new voice boomed, breaking the silence. A familiar voice. The one with the spiked crown. The one who hurt her
The Queen.
"Saffire, you are wondering why I'm here" She sneered.
Saffire was not.
"You are wondering why you're here."
She narrowed her eyes, now glaring at the Queen. She did want to know why she was in this wretched little prison cell. The Queen gestured to a nearby cell, which contained a Night Flyer. They had glistening black scales and enormous wings. There was also a human in the cage with the unknown dragon. She was limping around, covering the mysterious dragon's wounds with bandages. The human had a large gash in her leg that seemed to be an old injury. The skin around the gash was wrinkled and red, obviously burned. The human seemed otherwise flawless. She had long blonde hair and purple eyes. At first Saffire thought her eyes were dark blue, but they seemed to change, depending on the lighting. as she examined the dragon and his companion
But the cage they were in was different. While Saffire's cage was a fire proof metal alloy, a purplish blue colored metal, the other cage was a regular one, that wasn't fire proof.
