The next morning I woke from a dream to the sound of my phone ringing.  Like a needle of obnoxious sounds popping my thought balloon.  I opened my eyes to locate my phone.  The sun was streaming through the trees like a colander.  The streams of light focused on my alarm.  It was 6:21 a.m.
"Hello~?"  I said, dragging out the "o" clearly still tired.  Riley sounded like she was sobbing.  At first, all she said was
"James," she sobbed out "he's... DEAD!"  All time seemed to stand still for a few seconds.
"Riley this isn't funny!"  I said, denying the obvious fact that she was telling the truth.  Her sobs sounded pretty real to me.
"Lucille I'm as serious as his mother, who's screaming at us for doing something to him."  She said, trying to stifle her crying.  I could hear Sarah and Ellie crying in the background.  The moment was absolutely heart wrenching.  I realized the last person he hung out with was Sebastian.
"I'll call you back soon Riley, I need to talk to Seb."  Riley just muttered an "okay.." and hung up.  I had regained my composure and called Seb at 6:32 a.m.  I called him four times before he picked up.  I could tell he was mad I woke him up, but I didn't care.
"Why the hell are you calling me at six-thirty in the morning?"  He groaned out.
"What'd you do to James last night?  Don't you dare 'nothing'!"  I was getting angrier by the second.
"I know you know, you were the last to see him!" I shouted.  My mother and father were out, so it didn't matter.
"Lucille, listen to me.  Calm down!  What happened to James?"  He said, as calm as he could.  He's dead and you killed him!" I said, tears beginning to stream down my face.
"Luci, I haven't seen James since school hit out, I'm grounded, reme-"
I cut him off, screaming as loud as I could.  "I SAW YOU LAST NIGHT, YOU LOOKED DIRECTLY AT ME!"
"Luci, LISTEN to me.  I was asleep before sundown, and you guys go out after dark," He said, calmly defending his place.  "Whoever you saw, was not me.  Did I seem different at all?" he asked, half spooked.
"Uhm, yeah, you were pretty quiet.  I brushed it off as lack of lighting, but you seemed pale, and your eyes looked almost black."  I said, giving him room to speak.
"Lucille hold on, I need to send you something.  Check your Gmail, read the whole article, I'm sure Riley, Sarah and Ellie want answers.  Or you know, my head." The he hung up without another word
