Chapter two

-As of one month had already passed since Jack's encounter with Marissa and he still had never seen her since then. He woke up one morning, waiting for an answer from Daniel Jones as to whether he had already gotten the job as his assistant. He was tired, hesitant about the whole thing, and anxious about the encounter tha he had that night with Marissa in that dark forest. He began to recall everything, and had recurring dreams about it. In these recurring dreams, he always saw her in a gardern house,in a light blue dress, surrounded by flowers. Roses, dandelions and all kinds of wild and colorful flowers. Lilies in the garden house were the most promenant flowers in the whole place. He, not only was very quiet and did not say much, but also a very detail oriented person. The sunlight hit her raven hair and lit up the room, as she twirled around the garden house, and as her golden shoes clicked, tapping gently against the floor. It was a little strange to see her without her cloak. But her marvelous charm and outdtanding personality, remained. He always seemd to find new ways to follow her. And talk to her, but she never seemed to listen. She danced and sang and picked the flowers and placed them in her raven hair. It all seemed way too magical to be deemed "real". Her golden heels shined bright and her smile aswell. She was anything but a scary witch from another dimension...

Because she never was.

She was anything but.

As she indulged in the smell of the flowers, she thought about life. What it would have been like to be free. What it would have been like to live in the other world. Our strange little world that we think of as awful. We take our world for granted, often not appreciating everything. We often hate our mothers and fathers, not appreciating what they have given us. She would have loved to have grown up with both parents. We often think that we are superior to others, and as human beings, we let our pride get the best of us. She was as humble enough to recognize her faults and her flaws. Because even though she was not from our world, she was still as human as the rest of us. We hate our lives, but she was greatly greatful enough to even have a life. As for us being the living, breathing, thinking human beings that we are, we have unfortunately decided to neglect our own. Thinking that we are perfect when we are not, letting our own souls be filled with pride and judgement, being keen to recieve compliments from everybody, not ready to fight, and take a stand if we have to. Haven't we learned our lesson already? Why do we let our pride get the best of us? Haven't we learned to love? Well... I guess not. As this idea of a life seems "too old fashioned" for mankind to even take into consideration, to change their actions and make of this world the best that they can. With the willingness to take on a real challenge, and explore parts of the world that "they"had never seemd to care about. But "we"... We are so much more than just oruselves, because remember...

"You are not your own. You were born with a price".

There's so much more to life than just sitting down and waiting. If you can take on the challenge, you can fix anything in the world.

Apparently in this modern society "what is decent is old fashioned", and what could have been considered non appropriate ages ago, is deemed to be acceptable, as more people these days are apprehensive to accept these "old fashioned values" that not much people today, living in a 20th century, modern or contemporary society seem to take account of. A world filled with rather "nasty" political discussions a society that doesn't even bother to pick up a book. Not for the long part. It was 1989. But still... People started to have different values. Somewhat wrong kinds of values. Values that no society should explore. Not in any way. And even to this day.

She went into a meadow. The meadow was beautiful. And lush and green. Just way to beuatiful. It wasn't like a charming little prairie. Or a dazzling garden. It was much more. More beautiful. Much more..." real".

It was glimmering in the sunlight. And as Marissa jumped, she was surrounded by an abundance of green and flowers and all of the above. And it was not even spring. It was just charming. Charming in the middle of the hot, Italian summer. Nothing compared to all of the other places that he had been to. Jack would have never fathomed that such beauty could exist within one world. The wonderful world that we call home.

He did not want to wake up from that dream. Suddenly, he found himself within this dream. A bit strange at first. But... He just never found anything to be that real. He was in the center of the meadow. Looking around, trying to see what had happened. Casting his vision round about, adjusting his glasses.
