Isla woke to the sound of chirping birds. Obviously, this was not her bedroom. Great start to the day, wasn't it?
Waking up in the middle of a large forest with tall, creepy trees was quite a weird but somewhat enticing thought to Isla. But alas, now that it had happened, she wasn't entirely sure that she wanted to be here at all.
The first thing you should do when you wake up in an unknown place in the world is try to identify where you are. If possible, the country and language. You can normally do this by observing the people and reading roadsigns or something with that country's language on. But you see, Isla was in a forest. A very large forest at that. She couldn't see the end or even hear the distant rumble of cars on tarmac. The forest was deathly silent except for the wind rustling through the trees and the quiet noises of animals. Isla was completely stumped. What were you supposed to in a situation like this? Above all, Isla was just hoping she hadn't somehow been transported to North Korea for some strange reason. Though, that would have been interesting.
But what if she was dreaming? Isla thought about this possibility and made sure to pinch herself a number of times. "Ah bugger." She mumbled to herself as she found out that pinching yourself did actually hurt. Her sometimes strange way of talking did make people look at her weirdly, but Isla realised that there wasn't any people to judge her at this moment in time.
Standing up, Isla took in her surroundings. She had woken up in a large clearing which was strange as the forest around her was quite overgrown. Either, she'd woken up in a randomly groomed area, or she had done this. But that second one was very unlikely. Isla? Creating this? But then again, the first one was quite unlikely as well. For some reason, this scenario was strangely familiar. She wasn't sure how, but she knew it'd come to her eventually. But right in the middle of her train of thought, her stomach grumbled. Quite loudly, as well. Even though she didn't want to go find some food, she thought she better.
To do or not to do, that is the question. Isla thought to herself. That was the quote, right? She didn't do Shakespeare for a year to get one of his most famous quotes wrong, did she? Anyway, even if she did get it wrong it's just because she's not a nerd and is #edgy like that. So, being the edgelord she was, Isla sat down for a few more minutes before going in search of something to eat.

Isla made sure that she didn't go too far from the clearing. The rest of the forest was so overgrown, it was beginning to look like a jungle. Isla did think about whether she was actually in a jungle or a rainforest, but she decided that it was too cold to be either of the two. After some searching that felt like years, Isla found a lovely, round bush that was dotted with berries similar to a raspberry. Isla's stomach rumbled again. She started eating the berries, not caring whether they were poisonous or not. Isla had figured that it was better to die with a full stomach rather than an empty one.
After stuffing an assortment of fruit into her hoodie pockets, Isla made her way back to the clearing to dine on her delicious discoveries. To be quite honest, Isla was moderately proud that she had actually gotten up and done something for a change. She had thought that the effects of her recently passed emo phase would still be there but, thankfully, there weren't. You know those effects. Listening to MCR while crying and applying eyeliner while also shouting "It's not a phase mom! This is who I really am!" Yep. Quite embarrassing. We needn't bring this up again but it'll pop up again at some point, for sure. Or maybe not, you never know. Although those side effects would not have been directly affecting Isla, knowing that she may never listen to Gerard Way sing or ever see his ageless face again would be enough to put a full-on emo into a hysterical fit. Speaking of seeing Gerard Way, Isla remembered that she had her phone and iPod on her. She turned on her phone. "Damn, no signal. And no 4G?!" Well, another option of her getting out of there was gone. As she made it back to the clearing, she sat down in the middle, soaking up the sunlight, mournfully. But, the fruit wasn't going to eat itself. Because if it was Isla would be a bit more than disturbed.
After eating all the fruit, Isla found that she was pleasantly full. Just the way she liked it. Not too full but not hungry. Isla walked to a slightly shadier part of the clearing to settle down and go to sleep. A part of her was hoping that this was just a part of a messed up dream. Although she knew that this most likely wasn't true she would still cling to this fantasy as long as she could.
As Isla was drifting off to sleep, a thought crossed her mind. If she wasn't really dreaming then she'd never get to finish Sailor Moon Crystal. Her friend had recommended it to her and she was beginning to really enjoy it. Isla was planning to get a degree in theatre so she got up on her knees and let out her best Darth Vader "NOOOOOOOOOO!"
