Elegant, eternally enigmatic Kumori beamed at him with a ludicrous, lucent grin; her emerald eyes shone like two fragments of broken glass, reflecting her discombobulated thoughts; reflecting the eerie, mysterious experiences she had had. Reflecting the deep dark secrets which are near to impossible to find out.
Her name explained everything.
"Kumori..." he pronounced, each syllable hitting softly.
Her name, Kumori, means cloudy or shadowed. It explains her soul, the person she is as a whole. She's a mystery yet to be found; nobody can really tell what she's thinking; She's great at hiding things. A great secret keeper. A great mystery.
"Sora." She replied, her silky-as-molten-chocolate voice calming the awkward atmosphere.
Two people, one hall, nobody else.
He gently touched her fragile face, worrying that he might accidentally break it. Examining her face was like examining a really complicated graph, but she was harder to extract information out of.
Kumori laughed sweetly at soras puzzled face and gently shook her head. Sora couldn't help but laugh a little too; Kumoris giggle sounded so normal as if she had nothing to hide, as if she was one of those regular everyday girls and had almost made him believe for a second that there must be nothing wrong with her at all.
Inching away from her, he looked at her again, trying to figure her out but he got no where. Frustrated, he sighed as Kumori reached out to him with a weak, pale worn hand.
"Sora, I know what you want." She voiced mousily, her eyes clouded with mystery. "You want to know me, dont you?"
He put his head up and widened his eyes. How did she know?
Kumori stroked his face gradually, smiling.
"You're the first to notice there's something not normal with me, so that makes you special...who knows? Maybe one day you'll figure me out." She laughed, her voice echoing beautifully, creating a melodious tune which seemingly made the world feel more blithe and worth living.
He gave her a warm grin, his eyes full of curiosity and eagerness. He knew he had a mission and he wouldn't retreat no matter how tough it was.
This was his hunt to find her.
This was the hunt he was willing to do.
