Leo felt hesitant to ask about Lucky. So again he asked Simon indirectly as whether they all are available in the town today.

Eventhough Leo pretend to be as normal. Simon knew well about Leo's love on Lucky. Not only Simon many of his friends knew about his love on Lucky as well as they understand him as that he won't tolerate the mental agony perphaps if she reject him.
