Theo
FUCK, JULES IS beautiful even when she's crying, even when she's distressed. It takes everything in me to turn my back to her, to walk in the other direction. I hope she knows I'm not finished with her, that this is just an act with Anna.
I punch the button to the elevator. When it dings, I walk in and turn to press the button for the ground floor. That's when I see her again. She looks terrified. I can see from here she's shaking. But as soon as our eyes meet, she turns her head and stops in her tracks. What the hell?
The doors close, and I run my hands through my hair. My pulse is so fast, I fear my heart could stop at any moment. Shit. I forgot my phone, my keys. Pressing the button for the sixteenth floor, the doors open back up. She's standing right in front of me. I want to grab her, pull her in this elevator, and yank the stop button. I want to explain everything. But beyond her shoulder, I see Anna staring at me. I assume she's waiting to see how I'm going to respond to Jules. So, instead of looking at her, speaking to her, grabbing her, and kissing her like every fiber in my being wants to do, I walk past her as if I don't even know who she is.
I smile at Anna. "I forgot my shit in my locker. Kinda hard to do much without your phone and your keys these days."
She nods. I can tell she's still watching Jules. Turning her around, I drape my arm over her shoulder. "Will you do me a favor?"
"Depends."
"Why don't you go home, shower, and put on something super skimpy and sexy." I grin at her, pretending she's Jules. It's the only way I can get through this.
"I think I can manage that. Oh, and when you're picking up dinner, you may want to pack a bag. I'm going to work on getting us plane tickets. Where should we go first?"
I shrug. "Lady's choice."
Standing at the men's locker room, I point. "Well, this is me. I'll see you in two hours, right?"
She smiles. "Yeah. But how do I know you're not going to stand me up?"
I roll my eyes and sigh while smiling. "Anna, sweet fucking Anna."
She shivers, her lids droop, and she bites her lip.
"If I wasn't interested, I'd just tell you to go screw yourself. But I didn't, did I?"
She shakes her head. Her lashes brush her cheeks as she bats her eyes. They're so long, so fake.
"Now, chop chop. We're wasting time. I need to, in no particular order, grab my laptop, go strangle Marco, and get food so I don't keel over from starvation."
"Don't kill Marco. I've grown to like him."
"Funny because I've grown to hate him in a matter of a conversation. But you strike me as someone who doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone other than yourself. So, I know you'll be there. You're a greedy vixen."
She boxes me into a corner, pushing herself into me. I don't need her to rub up against me, to see she's having zero effect on me. "I'm not completely greedy. I love giving, if you know what I mean."
I arch a brow and laugh. "So, you're saying you'll be happy to suck my dick on the plane ride to our mystery location?"
She stands on her tip toes and grabs my head and brings it down to her lips.
I pull back. "No, no kisses until the deal is done and we're on our way."
Anna licks her lips and purses them together. "My panties are so fucking wet for you already, Theo. You're going to rock my world, aren't you?"
