*Flashback*

"Daddy!" I yelled as I ran crying into his arms. He patted my head, trying to comfort me. "It's okay everyone falls off their bikes when they are first learning to ride." I sniffled and wiped my face, "Do they really,Daddy?"He smiled,"Yes,Rocky-Chan but the trick is to always get back up."

*flashback over*

"Rochelle King,Are you paying attention?"I zoned back into what my teacher was saying. I rolled my eyes,"Yes,I'm listening." She droned on about the end of the year and then handed out report cards. I sighed. My report card was less than satisfactory and my dad would probably kill me. I started my car and backed out the school. I'll probably just throw it away before my parents see it. At least that was my plan. My dad's car was already in the driveway when i got in the house. "Fuck!" I swore under my breathe. I walked into the house hoping my dad wouldn't be downstairs. I tiptoed into the kitchen. My father was sitting at the table drinking. "Hi Dad." He raised his eyebrow. I sighed, "Hey,Otōsan." Lately ,He has been insisting I call him by the traditional Japanese name. He half smiled,"Hey rocky." I walked towards the trashcan and threw away my report card. "What did you just throw away?" He questioned. "Nothing." I shrugged my shoulders. "Let me see this nothing." He said taking another swing of the drink in his hand. I reached into the trash and pulled out the crumpled report card. Then I handed him it. He uncrumpled it and slowly read the paper. I watched as his eyes seemed to slowly grow darker. He slapped me down to the ground. I cried out."O bakana on'nanoko" (You stupid girl) "Do you even try?"He screamed as he pulled my hair then proceeded to slap me. He Kicked me in my stomach, knocking my breathe out of me. I whimpered,"Dad,please stop it's just a grade. This only seemed to make him more enraged. he grabbed my by my throat and started choking me. I clawed at his hands while his face blurred between my eyes. Then I happily sunk into the darkness.
