The wind rustled my hair as I floated over the majestic city. By now, it had gotten dark. I stared at stars and clouds and people and beautiful lights. I circled the hotel.
"Enjoying yourself?"
No, you think.
"Sassy, aren't we?"
I'm not gracing that question with an answer. I landed on the roof.
"Problem?"
Umm, yeah! How do I go back to being human.
"You don't."
Uh-I-you-er-uh-
"Relaaax, I'm kidding. You remember your human self. And to go into demon again, remember that version." As my extra limbs shrunk, I remembered something. I raced down the stairwell, out the lobby, and into the street. I bolted to the nearest post office. As I slowed at the doors, I noticed two men. We walked in at the same time, me easing into one line. One was blond, the other a brunette. As I got close to the front, I couldn't help but overhear their conversation. "Who is she?"
"I don't know, but she is dressed like a hooker."
"Yeah. Look at her clothes, what a slut."
"I bet she is just another stupid failure."
"Completely friendless."
"Unloved."
"Idiot."
"Die on the streets."
"Homeless."
"Hopeless."
"She is so, just, ugh." I reached the front of line almost in tears. I got my mail from my PO box and left quickly. As snickers came, I ran. Hot liquid dripped down my cheeks as I ran. They knew I could hear them, and it hurt. I'd been ignored at school too. Exact same treatment. I hated being muttered about, ignored, and mistreated. I had had enough. Next time, I beat the snot out their faces and kick their teeth in. Next time... As I rose up the elevator, silently vowed. I was a crying mess still. Uneven breath, red eyes, wet cheeks, shuddering. As I stepped out on my floor I was passed by two men. I was really fed up with guys today. I saw the brunettes stare at my with wide chocolate eyes. They both had fluffy hair, just differently styled. One had a larger nose. "Hey, are you ok?"
"Well obviously she isn't!"
"I-I'm f-f-fine."
"Hey, aren't you friends with the guys?"
"Y-you mean the two that took me around town earlier? Yeah, why, who's asking?"
"We are their friend, you know, the ones that they met with at lunch."
"Oh, c-cool, nice to meet you. I-I've got go." I began to turn away to get to my room, when the one with larger nose grabbed my shoulder. He turned me the same way It would. My eyes went wide as I faced them.
"You aren't going anywhere. What's wrong?"
"It's ok, I swear on my phone and computer that you can trust us." Right then I broke down in front of these complete strangers. They took me to their room, and I shared my story of leaving home. Obviously I didn't tell them about the demon stuff. But we became great friends within hours. Soon it was 2:00am. I went into my room, and sunk against the door. I pulled out my one piece of mail that was of high value. My tickets. I felt like crap. I walked over to the bed and landed face first on the pillow. As I drifted into the world of my mind, I couldn't help but let my thoughts wander. Where had It gone? His usual commentary was lacking... And did that guy like me? He made me feel like when I was with It, but It was trapped in my mind and wasn't material. I found myself standing in the empty cavern yet again. As I reflected on the events of the day, a single tear fell to the ground. It seemed to move in slow motion. As it hit, the splat seemed to roar like the ocean in a storm. Everything went silent when I felt breath on my neck.
"I missed you."
You disappeared.
"What, I'm not allowed to do my own thing? I am human after all."
I guess...
"I'll make it up to you." He was purring in my ear. S was right, he was developing a personality. Or was that already there? I dunno. I felt arms snake around my chest and waist. Then something unexpected happened. He licked my neck. He LICKED my neck! What?! Before I could stop any of this, he was kissing me. Deep and passionate. He was drawing me close, using his wings to trap me. As I was stunned, he continued by kissing down my neck. Then I felt his teeth nick my skin. Smooth fangs pressed against my damp skin. He broke away to push his forehead against mine, gazing into my eyes.
"Hey, having fun?" And, for some reason, I smiled. No, I smirked.
Maybe...
"Well, I won't take that for an answer will I?" This time I attacked his lips, slipping my tongue into his mouth for once. Suddenly we toppled over, landing on something squishy. Him on top of me. Oh God, this might not end well. He scooted upward, tightening around my hips. He ripped his shirt off to reveal strong muscle. He leaned down and nudged my head to the side. He pinned my arms with his hands. He licked my exposed neck. He kissed me again before trailing back down. He bit the collar of my shirt and pulled a little. I knew what he wanted but I just wasn't sure or ready. My face came out of its pleasurable state to show fear and a simple answer. No. He sat back up, sighing. He released his grip and rolled to the side, laying next to me. I cuddled up against him. He seemed to except it and embraced me as well. I put one hand against It and used the other to trace his unknown muscles. I felt him shudder.
"I-It's ok. I just wasn't expecting that feeling."
Well, I wasn't expecting THAT either. He seemed to get the message. He just tightened his arms around me protectively.
"Time to wake u-"
My eyes opened to a knock at my door.
A/N-Super emotional chapter! Yay! I had a VERY long day. Almost as emotional as this. Ok, if my friends haven't picked up on the clues, GET WITH THE FUDGING PROGRAM!! Today's lesson: Don't talk about people behind their backs, WE HAVE EARS!! And don't treat people like crap because you will get bad karma, most likely in the form of a pissed off person. Bad things will follow. And if no one suggests any name for the readers by next chapter, I'll pick in the next chapter. Don't make bad decisions. I'm sorry in advance if the next chapter is just as emotional because SOMEONE is gonna get crap tomorrow. Byez.
