The start of the first term of Berk High left many pupils tired and annoyed at how quickly the holidays finished. New schoolbags are worn and conversations started, this marks the first day back to Berk High. After the Incident two years ago, Hiccup Haddock finally managed to fit in with everyone. Although he can be a pain with his mostly terrible puns and jokes, Hiccup is a valued member of my group of friends. Nobody can forget what happened two years ago, So I guess that's why we became friends with him. Over the course of the last couple years Hiccup grew attached to each of us. Sometimes his true personality is only shared alone with us and us alone (he might still have social anxiety we believe). Even Snotlout had a change of heart... though that might have been down to the Police and four month suspension he had gotten. The fiery sun shone golden rays down on the students sitting on the grassy small hill beside the school, waiting for the doors to open and the bell to ring signalling registration period. Some were messing about, excited to see their friends again. Some were sitting making small talk or bragging about their awesome holidays. Then there was us.

"My Grandfather died peacefully in his sleep-" this raised an eyebrow and her face softened at the sad words ready to give empathy "not like the screaming passengers in his car!" laughed Hiccup, Astrid whacked him in the shoulder ("OW!"). "Your puns are stupid!" she yelled in his ear making him yelp in surprise, "great, now I am hurt and deaf" he sheepishly muttered rubbing his shoulder. "And so are we!" screamed Ruffnut taking her hands off of her ears shooting a dis-approving look at Astrid, "Yeah we can't hear and stuff!" Tuffnut announced stupidly pointing at his ears. "What?!-" asked Hiccup pointing at his ears "I'm sorry I can't ear" he said receiving another blow ("AGAIN!?") from Astrid making Fishlegs chuckle at the two bickering friends. "Hey guys, don't they say you always hurt the ones you love?" Astrid dropped Hiccup and slowly turned her head towards him with a murderous look in her eyes. "If you don't shut up I will murder you Fish" she glared, Fishlegs shot behind Heather whimpering. "Fishlegs, your a man don't hide behind me" said Heather stated shoving him in front of Astrid despite his cries of mercy. Astrid raised a fist ready to strike Fishlegs but her fist was caught by none other than Snotlout. "Hey babe, let me do that for you" he sniggered reeling back for the punch. "Not so fast!" a voice yelled before punching Snotlout square in the jaw making him fall back onto the ground. Standing over him was Hiccup, his hands in the shape of a gun, tears in his eyes. Everyone was quiet for a while, Astrid grabbed Hiccups hand and held it in hers. her eyes showing guilt. He saw what he had done and stopped shaking. "Oh sorry Snot" he laughed awkwardly rubbing the back of his head with his free hand. The students were fixed on the two holding hands. "Astrid I'm okay" he stated letting her hand go and giving a reassuring smile making her look away. "You sure?" she asked, surprising everyone with her unusual concern and worry. "Yeah, never butter" he laughed. "Oh you idiot" Astrid hit him lightly and joined in laughing with everyone. The all familiar bell rang out and students began moving to the grand doors of the massive Berk High Academy. "Come on guys, let's not be late!" said Heather pushing them towards the door rather enthusiastically. "Ack your only excited because P.E is first period" Fishlegs stated trying to keep up with them. "Come on fatso were all in the same Registration class this year so try to keep up!" hollered Snotlout "we are?!" Hiccup asked with surprise showing on his face. Astrid smiled "I'm sitting next to-" "Hiccup?" Snotlout cut in making her face red, "No-" she said making it loud and clear. "Heather" she finished before roundhouse kicking him in the jaw "OW! that's still sore from that fishbone" he yelled making everyone laugh. "Stop laughing at the Snotlout minions!" Snotlout cried out causing everyone to laugh even more. "Snotlout your not a 'big shot' anymore" Hiccup pointed out "Yeah, technically you lost popularity since two years ago" Fishlegs declared making everyone nod. "No wonder I'm stuck with you guys..." muttered an annoyed Snotlout in spite of himself. "Whatever guys let's just get to class" Astrid said walking a little quicker, Fishlegs grabbed Hiccups shoulder and dragged him to the back of the group. "Astrid has been acting very weird lately, don't you think Hiccup?" he said in his ear, Hiccup shrugged his face twisting with thought "I don't know maybe?" he replied "you don't answer a question with another question Hiccup!" Fishlegs said clearly irritated. "Guys I know why she is" popped Snotlout out of nowhere causing them both to jump catching the attention of the girls in front. "Okay now that we are alone will you tell me if you like him or not?" Heather whispered. "Heather I told you already and I'm not saying it again" she lightly blushed causing Heather to giggle. "I know Astrid I just wanted to hear it once more" she smiled glancing at an oblivious Hiccup in a man huddle with Fishlegs and Snotlout. "Okay Snotlout why do you think so?" Hiccup asked with curiosity, Snotlout pulled them in closer. "I think she likes me" he said. "As if Snotlout she hates you!" Fishlegs whispered loudly, Hiccup just faked gagged "She does, Snot" he said smiling "Oh shut up your just jealous because I have bigger muscles than you Fishbone!" he screamed making every student in their vicinity to look at them. "S-Sorry" Hiccup nervously shouted for them as they avoided eye contact with everyone. Snotlout laughed flexing his muscles "Look guys, I will show you" Snotlout confidently walked over to Astrid and held her tiny hand in his massive one. Hiccup and Fishlegs were carrying a beat up Snotlout to the Infirmary not five minutes later with sweat drops on their heads. They sat him down and raced to Registration. "Class F034 Hiccup!" Fishlegs shouted struggling to keep up with his skinny best friend. They made it in the nick of time and were glad to see two free seats next to their friends. Astrid and Heather were in the dead center, Tuffnut reserved a seat for Snotlout at the left side of the room and Ruffnut was in front of Heather and Astrid at the front due to Teacher supervision orders from the Principle. Fishlegs and Hiccup grabbed the two seats behind Astrid and Heather and began talking about the latest the latest film 'Dragons VS Vikings' saying they were going to go see it when it comes out. "Did you see the trailer?" "Yeah! vikings are so cool but the Dragons are merciless!" "did you see the scene where that guy shoots a net and catches that small one?" "that's my favourite scene" "The vikings put up such a good fight against the Dragons!" "I'm surprised their not dead on that island!". Meanwhile Astrid and Heather were talking about P.E "I heard we are in the same class Astrid", Astrid shot her a confident look "looks like we will find out who is better after summer break huh?" she asked with fire in her eyes. "Oh you know I'm going to win against you" Heather replied with determination, the two crossed an arm with the other smiling at their intense rivalry of 'fittest girl in the school'. Hiccup and Fishlegs sweat dropped as they watched the two rivals in their heated competition before the teacher came crashing in. "AM LATE LADDIES!" the teacher yelled making everyone burst out laughing. "Ye ye settle doon lads, now am gunna take da register so if yer here say here awright?" Mr. Gobber yelled to the class. Hiccup smiled to see his design teacher is also his Registration Teacher too. "Uh Rachel?" "Here" "Heather?" "Here sir" "ooh I like that" Gobber smiled looking at Heather "Tuffnut?" "Huh? Who said my name? great Odin are you calling me to Valhalla?!" he stood up extending his arms to the ceiling. "Just say here Tuffnut" sighed Gobber as Astrid pulled him down to his seat, "Oh then here!" "Ruffnut?" Ruffnut rolled her eyes at her brother "here" "Uh Max?" "I'm here". After thirty seconds Gobber completed the register and said we could talk again. Snotlout entered the room with a few bandages and a large Ice pack to his head. He was a sight. "Yo Snotlout over here!" Tuffnut beckoned him to the empty seat next to him, Snotlout sighed and slumped into the seat hesitatingly. "After all that he can still stand huh?" Hiccup said looking at Snotlouts bruises. "Well he is brawn over brains" Fishlegs pointed out, "What's wrong with being tough?" Astrid whipped round to face Fishlegs as Hiccup sweat dropped. "You sayin tough people are stupid?" She shouted in his face causing him to pass out. "Astrid how many men are you gonna hurt today?" asked Heather a little uneasy, before Astrid could respond Hiccup butted in. "Astrid your actually really smart for a girl as tough as you" he said smiling. Astrid turned around and faced him "Oh yeah your really pretty too" He added clueless to the whole class watching them in utter shock. Astrid turned to the front and began blushing furiously. The Astrid Hofferson blushing at something. Hiccup realized everyone in the class was looking at him "What?" he asked. The whole class fell over in how dense he was. Gobber cleared his throat "Well uh Hiccup the Principle told me to tell ye to meet him at Break today" Gobber announced breaking the awkward silence. "oooooohhhh your in trouble Hiccup!" Ruffnut slyly declared, Hiccup shrugged his shoulders. "I doubt my dad thinks I have done something bad" he replied with honesty. "Huh what happened?" Fishlegs groggily asked still almost out for the count. "Nothing really Fishlegs" Snotlout replied raising an eyebrow at Hiccup. Snotlout just came to an conclusion that he really didn't want to come true. And he was desperate to keep it that way. Astrid was not blushing anymore and was talking to Heather again about Kickboxing but she began sneaking glances at Hiccup whenever she could. Fishlegs noticed this. Smiling he kept his mouth closed, talking about his first period and whether Hiccup had the same as him. Not long was the bell signalling first period going off and Students were grabbing their bags and hurrying to class. This is Berk High Academy, and Hiccup was glad he had as good friends as he had.
