• KAUN KHAN ? •
The Monday morning was gloomy and I was not feeling it. Just NOT! I had woken up at 3, in the morning, attended a wedding and raced to catch my 9 o' clock flight to Mumbai, my eyes were drooping due to the lack of sleep.
"Miss," I looked up at the airhostess calling for me.
The woman gave a charming smile, "The flight has landed, Miss."
I looked around to find the cabin almost empty. I cursed to myself and apologized to the friendly airhostess, who helped me with my hand luggage.
As soon as I got off the airport shuttle, I went to the restrooms and washed my face.
"No issues, Sana, Mumbai is going to treat to you as it's own!" I cheered myself up.
I made a beeline towards the conveyer-belt-thing and waited for my luggage. After finding them, I quickly moved towards the exit to check myself out.
I followed the signs on the board towards the exit, just as I came out of a narrow hallway, I ran into someone, causing both of us to fall down. It was the perfect seasoning to irk me further.
I sat up to look at him, whilst rubbing my forehead, which I bumped with his jaw. The dude had shut his eyes, rubbing his stubled jaw, while swearing.
"Fucking shit! Can't you be careful when you're turning!?" He said, with an accent. American, I presume, of an Indian descent.
"I could say the same! Can't you be careful when you pass a hallway?!" I sincerely dislike people with an 'attitude', I also happen to be a hypocrite who comes off rude in return to the said. Attitude problems, what can I say?
"Main Gaadi thodi na hoon, ki every right paar karne samay horn bajao!"
"What?" I asked, taking obvious seconds to completely understand his sentence. "I don't get it."
"Great," he muttered, "Ignorant Indians who make zero effort to learn their own language!"
"Oye, hello!" I snapped, "Whatever, huh, not any of your business! By the way, mujhe bhi Hindi aathi hai!"
"Sirf basic hi aathi hai!"
"Tho Kya? Hindi mujh par impose karne ke liya tum hothi kaun?! Aagayi America se!"
"Whatever, I don't have time for your cheap behavior!" He said giving me a once over.
"Dude, what the fuck is your problem?" I snap, glaring at him with narrowed eyes.
"Beta, what is both of your problem?" Another voice interrupted our conversation- argument.
Just then we realized, we attracted quite a crowd as we had been fighting while sitting on the airport floor with our luggages sprawled around us. Probably, something new, even for Mumbai.
We glared at each other and stood up collecting our bags and phones.
He fixed his suit, while giving me a once over and a cocky smirk which I just wanted to slap right off his face.
I followed his gaze and immediately fixed my gray saree which was slipping off. (Sarees are a pain in the ass! You never know when the whole shit is just going to untangle off! I hate weddings!)
He came closer and whispered "So, you're one of those girls in Mumbai, I hear about, those red ones, is it? Whom did you find to sleep with in a frickin' airport!?"
And slap.
My hands were tingling for so long to do that. And boy, was I happy.
"Watch your words," I hissed, as he turned red with anger and became furious. His blue-green-weird-af eyes, that I just noticed, were rimmed with red, hot fury as I stood there unfazed.
"What's going on here?" Few men in uniform, came forward.
I was about to open my mouth and give a long ass social lecture to the Humans of Bombay and the bitch in front of me, but was stopped by the said bitch.
"Nothing, officers," he said, composing himself, "We were just leaving. I profusely apologize for the commotion, it won't repeat."
It was like a spell, his words. The crowd bustled off immediately and the officers walked off with a warning glare and a nod at the two of us. I didn't argue further, because I didn't really feel like spending my first day in the city anywhere near a jail.
"You messed with a Khan, and you have no idea what I can do, I'm going to ruin you for this" he said with a stone cold voice, holding my wrists tightly.
"Unless you're Shah Rukh Khan, I don't give a fuck, dude," I said and pulled myself away from his tight grip.
I walked off with a hair flip, right into his face, because I'm extra like that, thinking the slap was an answer enough for his regressive thoughts and how amazing my shampooed hair must have smelt.
A boring morning with a spicy fight in which I WON, maybe I could take over Mumbai after all!
