[The Central Continent -
The Capital, Asterisk]Outside The Capital of the Central Continent, a Gigantic [*] hung right above the City Gates as two suspicious lone figures could be seen outside, looking up at its majesty.
Though this may be the Capital of the Central Continent, the Continent itself is independent and without a governing ruler.
Surrounded by the Three Continents of the Three Major Races, the Central Continent was once a Land of Death stuck within an unending war for centuries as the different races fought over it.
And it will continue to suffer for centuries to come, or so had every creature thought until 300 years ago one lone figure stood up and declared the end; enforced the treaty, and claimed the Blood Land to be a Haven for the mixed blood, the ones who are the proof of inter species' love yet also the ones cast aside by their very people.
To them the central continent filled with ones such as them, without racial discrimination was quite similar to Heaven itself and under their lead of their Savior, they rebuilt it and allowed it to grow so that the current Central Continent with all its majestic splendor, an independent Pacifist force of its own, could stand in front of the others now and declare with force that its non-racial discriminating Laws be followed by any and all who wish for entry.
However, as soon as the continent grew stable, their savior and leader disappeared from their sights.
Now even though the current City guards of The Capital were anything but negligent, they did not spare an extra glace at those two suspicious figures staring at the gigantic insignia outside. One look and it was clear as day that they were but young travel worn youngsters. Their type were not in shortage at this time of the year, especially now in the admission season of The Academy.
Another one of the reasons why the other direct descendant races were willing to lower their proud heads and consent to the non-racial discrimination Laws were due to the Central Continent's Academy of Combat Science, currently occupying the seat of the "best" Academy. Not to mention, graduates were highly appreciated by the Central Continent's Government as well their respective Species.
Such a scholarship program to polish talents, naturally has very high requirements of admission but as strange as it was, the two youths seemed to mind it little as one of them spoke as they paid the entry fee and form to enter the City -
"Phew, we barely made it in time. I really thought that our trip to the Northern Dungeon would take longer. But still, such a big City; it's my first time..."
The speaker chatted away with no apparent response from its companion as it took of the hood off its cloak and walked through the bustling streets. Beautiful lush Cyan hair that shone brilliantly under the sun spilled out and covered the young elf's somewhat pointed ears. With its fair creamy complexion and the genial smile that hung relentlessly at the corner of its lips, it would have been quite apparent that it will grow up to be a beauty... if not for the questionable clothes it adorned. A Light comfortable attire that complimented one's agility along with thin boots that resembled thick socks rather than practical footwear.
In complete contrast stood its partner underneath a dark oversized tattered coat, with a similarly plain top and dark cotton pants stuffed under a pair of dark boots. The youth was an owner of a head of pitch black hair and two deep dark eyes that seemed to devour all light. The similarly black long sword at his waist gave away his profession.
It was not long before the elf had to stop its one sided conversation as they very quickly reached The Capital's branch office of The Academy and had to quickly filled out the application form for the Admission Examination.
