Chapter 8

He's gone.

After school ended Sebastian came with me to the police department to file a report on my stepdad, I showed the officer my bruises and I explain to them the abuse i've been through before. They called my mom and she said she will come home. They took him away for at least 10 years and I couldn't be happier that that bastard was leaving.

After that I was left with Sebastian in my empty house.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that..."

"It's okay"

"No it's not. That bastard should rot in jail."

"Wow. You sound like you actually care." I say with a small smile.

"I do, princess"

The butterflies in my stomach hatched and they were flying like crazy. Every single time he calls me that I get this feeling that I can't describe.

"Princess, let me take you somewhere."

"Right now?"

"Yep"

I change into a PINK tank top and some black jeans.

"What a gentleman! You didn't peek at all!"

"Who says I didn't, princess."
He sends a wink my way. I gasp and shove his shoulder.

"Ooo, feisty. I like it."

He knows how to make me smile. How can he do this to me. I barely know him. Everyone talks about him as a monster. Even though he has a past that no one knows about he still manages to be happy.

"What happened?"

"What, princess?"

"What happened? You know, before."

"Oh.."

"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

"No it's okay"

"I'll tell you another time."

We entered  this little diner and sat in a booth far away in the corner. He sat across from me.  A woman in her mid 20s came in roller skates.

"Hello and welcome to Me & You's Diner! How may I help you on this gorgeous day?"

She says in her southern accent.

"I would like a burger, fries and a strawberry milkshake. How about you, princess?"

"I would like the same as him. Thank you!"

"Give her extra fries ma'am. She sure loves them."

I burst out laughing and for the first time I was glad to have him here. I think I may be falling for you Sebastian. I should get my hopes up after all, this is just to stop Kay.
