Ch.1: A Builder is only a Builder

Once upon a time, there was a legendary Build Fighter named Tatsuya Yuuki a.k.a Meijin Kawaguchi III. He was an outstanding man who loved GunPla like it was the only thing that keeps him alive. He built many great GunPlas and also fought many great GunPla battles. Famous for being the "Crimson Comet", he fights his GunPla battles like he was the legendary Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam. He uses this fame to promote people to like and enjoy building GunPlas, even hosting the prestigious Meijin Cup, an annual event for exclusive builders. Years later, he got a partner named Lady Kawaguchi and was always beside him in the team tournaments. Their relationship was a professional one, until Meijin fell in love with her and eventually married her.


However, many years later, the Meijin retired as he see that he was too old and just wanted to spend the rest of his life building GunPla as well as being with his wife and son, with Lady following him. This caused a commotion as they don't know who will be the next Meijin. They say the great Sei Iori can take the role, but he unfortunately turned it down because of all the attention it will bring. After 2 more years, the GunPla community was left without a Meijin Kawaguchi, but still continued even though it's not as popular as it once was before.


The next day, Sei and Tatsuya meet at an empty arena secretly to talk. "... It's been years since I've seen an arena this big. I've been so busy with my wife and son that I forgot about all these things. I even don't build and fight that much anymore..." says a lamenting Tatsuya.




"Same here. But that's life... and I don't regret it. I think if I focus too much on the GunPla scene, I might neglect my children and China." Sei said, accompanied with a large sigh.



"But y'know, I miss being the Meijin. I get to meet all sorts of great builders, I get to meet dreamers, and other people like you. But, I figured I am too old to be the Meijin..." Tatsuya said.




"Too old? Do you even know how old the Meijin before you is? I think he was around 40's or even 50's at that time! And you're like, what? 49?.. okay, maybe you're too old to be the Meijin. But, don't you think it's rather too soon?"
