Okay, I realize that I should have posted this yesterday, and I wanted to, but whenever I got around to writing this it was already around 11:00 p.m or so. #Screwmysleepschedule. So, without further a do, enjoy the story! He was currently in his dorm, a comfortable sized room painted a dull grey with the bare necessities. He was currently in the middle of getting his stuff ready for classes tomorrow. He had brought the uniforms that were delivered at his door step into his small closet that the academy had given him, and everything he had just barely managed to fit in the closet.
His room was fairly simple, a twin sized bed was pushed up near a window looking out into a window garden. There was also a desk with a small lamp on it, probably there for him to do magic and combat theorem.
Speaking of which, now that he was mostly done unpacking he could look at it. He took out a small black leather bound notebook that had been left with his uniform. He sat down at the desk and opened the notebook to see that it was over spell casting. His eyes instantly locked onto a spell called 'Ten Shards of Wind.'It was a low level spell, but he had to start somewhere, right? He seen the incantation for it and read very slowly, trying to engrave the words into his mind it said 'wind condense, become my knives, Ten Shards of Wind. .' He put the notebook into the uniform he was currently wearing and went to the training grounds, knowing the direction because the instructor put a map in one of his uniforms.
He rounded the corner and was finally there. The floor was made of concrete, along with the walls around it. He seen scorch marks on the wall and decided he didn't want to know, so he just looked over the book again. He said the incantation, and a small amount of wind condensed into really small floating knives. He felt good about himself and then wondered, 'how do I fire this off?' He pushed his hand out and nothing happened. He then pointed with two fingers at a wall and still, nothing happened. He soon got frustrated after multiple attempts of waving his arms around like an idiot and took another look at the book. Blinking in surprise, he raised his hand, palm forward and the knives shot off like the, well, wind. The knives hit the concrete but didn't go in, instead they shattered on impact. He looked into the notebook again and found a description of ten shards of wind. 'One of the strongest low tiered spells, this ability could go through three sets of enemies, though needs a considerable amount of training to master. Use with caution as a small miss pronunciation could lead to fatal disasters.' Ray shuttered at the thought of what that last line implied. He decided to pick up the notebook and brought it back to his room, deciding he'd try to get a grasp of ten shards of wind later.
Grabbing his Kusanagi he sat down on his bed and and stared at it, wondering if he had what it took to get through the academy. He swung the sword through the air, and sheathed it while sitting up. He decided to look over his schedule again, just to make sure it was stuck within the confines of his memory.

Ray was currently walking into the cafeteria, black uniform flowing behind him, where students waited for the morning bell to signify the beginning of the school day. He spotted Aki near a small group of first years along with them, but he decided to sit at a table by himself. There was a loud ding, and everyone got up to go to their first-hour class.
Walking through the hallways, he seen many people aging from twelve to eighteen, which wasn't much of a surprise to Ray. He looked ahead, and found that there was a door with a sign above that read 'Theorem Advanced Combat Awareness: first years.' Entering the room, he found it to look like a regular classroom, but with a few shinai in a crate in the corner of the room. What he could only imagine was the teacher walked in, wearing a uniform very much like his, but had golden lining instead of silver. He had blonde hair with green eyes that held a look that said he had a lot of experience in a fight. He stated his name confidently, edging along arrogance.
"Hello class, my name is Matthew Turner, but you will call me professor Turner. I hope we can get along this year, now let class begin."
It was a long, but not boring, process to learn the academy's style of fighting with a kusanagi. Although he will admit, he was pretty confident that his style and battle instinct was far better then this style. He knew that he would enjoy the practical class for sword fighting even more, but professor Turner made everything he said sound intriguing, hooking him into his every word. Describing a twist of the wrist had never been so interesting before today.
Spell Casting Theorem wasn't boring, but it definitely wasn't as exciting as (what he would call him unless speaking to him) Mr. Turner had made his class. The teacher's voice was a deep monotone, and hadn't cared to give the students his name. Oddly enough though, he only didn't fall asleep because some of the spells (a rare few) really intrigued him. He seen a spell called 'celestial regeneration' that caught his eye, something he was definitely going to ask about in practical spell casting. He took out a blank sheet of paper and wrote down, 'lists of spells I should learn how to perform ASAP.' He put down Ten Shards of Wind and Celestial regeneration, being the only two spells that he had seen was in his skill level but able to do the job for that spell to do efficiently. He put the piece of paper in his pocket and headed towards third period
The instructor of the academy taught his advanced combat awareness class and he was glad, for he made everyone see who the best fighter was with wooden swords, which excited Ray. Most of the battles came down to him just flicking his opponents blades to the side, then stepping forward delivering a quick cut to the torso, though not doing damage, before he won. His next opponent, who was in the finals with him, was in front of him now, holding his wooden sword at the ready. At the moment it was just them circling each other, trying to find a flaw within the others defense. The impatient student finally charged and Ray set his sword right in his path and it took his opponent a second to put two and two together and stopped running, skidding to a stop, giving Ray a split second to get into his guard and deliver a horizontal slash and knock the sword out of his hands, causing him to win the match. All of this done without his Kusanagi and kurenza, this year was going to be an exciting yet boring one. He realized that his sword skill surpassed all of those in this very room, but the teaching would be exciting and testing those moves out on the others in a spar could be fun. This year was definitely going to be good, at least for combat awareness.
He was currently in his spell casting class, having been taught the most basic of spell, spirit finder, it was apparently one way to be summoned into your soul, where you would meet your kusanagi, or other powers. Most people had already summoned their kusanagi, seeing as how they needed it for the test. Some of the nobles, who were let in because of reasons beyond him, had not summoned their kusanagi. he just unsheathed his sword and faked amazement , mocking the nobles. He looked around and smiled, seeing as how this would be a perfect place to train his spells. He was definitely happy that he had been able to apply to the Senshi academy.
Okay lady's and gentlemen, a chapter up on the fanfic and a chapter up here. This isn't overly long, not overly short either, so I enjoy it. (After a bit of editing anyways) if you have any questions, feel free to message me or put it in a review, and I will either put the answer here in the author note or message you back, I promise, I don't bite.
