A few days had passed since her last shift at the club and Camila couldn't stop thinking about Lauren. How could she forget those emerald green eyes and that radiating smile of hers? It was impossible and knowing that there was a likelihood of seeing Lauren again this weekend, only made it worse. She had to snap herself out of her thoughts multiple times in the past few days. Even Dinah was catching on.

She was glad that she didn't accept Lauren's offer right away though. Camila has a tendency to trust people easily even in the first few minutes of meeting them. It was a curse which always led to her own heartbreak.

She couldn't do that to herself or her daughter. She needed someone permanent and it may be too early to tell, but Camila couldn't help but think about it whenever she was interested in anyone like Lauren. She needed someone who was in it for the long run, not someone who would run off at the first sign of trouble. Plus, she was never sure how they would react to finding out she has a daughter. She's never told anyone before.

The only people that knew were Dinah's family and those that worked at the diner with them. Those were truly the only people she spent most of her time with anyways and they were the people who meant something in her life. To everyone else, Ava was just another kid in the huge Hansen family.

"Mila!" Camila was broken out of her thoughts as felt a little push against her shoulder and Dinah's voice ringing in her ears.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" She shook her head and turned to her best friend as her own arms wrapped around herself a little tighter. It was the time of the year when it was extremely cold in the mornings but got warmer throughout the day. She had a huge baggy sweater over her uniform just like Dinah did but she was still freezing.

"I was talking about how Seth and your kid could eat everything. They practically ate everyone's leftovers on top of their own breakfast this morning."

Camila laughed at thought of her daughter and Seth. The two were the closest in age among the kids in the house and they could both eat triple their size if they were given the chance.

Dinah and her just finished dropping the kids off at school and now they were off to work at the diner. They had a late start to the morning, nothing unusual as it was the same thing every time they were in charge of the kids. Gordon and Milika had some errands to run so they were also in charge of opening up the diner.

"Your daughter can probably out-eat, Seth. It's crazy."

"We know where she get's it from." Camila smiled widely and jabbed her thumb into her chest proudly.

"You're tiny, Mila and you can eat a cow if you wanted to. It's scary sometimes." Dinah rolled her eyes just and earned a laugh from Camila. They approached a streetlight and waited for the pedestrian signal to turn green before crossing the street. Walking to the kids' school and to work wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so damn cold. Camila swore her whole body was going to be frozen by the time they arrived at the diner.

"Were you thinking about your little crush back there?" Dinah teased, giving Camila a soft nudge. She has seen her best friend hurt enough times that she had to stop herself from dating and finally seeing her put herself out there again made Dinah happy.

"Crush? That makes me sound like I'm in the third grade, Dinah."

"What else do you want me to call it? Your little infatuation?"

Camila waved it off and shook her head, ignoring Dinah all together as they arrived in front of the diner. Dinah fished inside her bag for the keys, holding them up by the ring as she pulled them out before working on opening the front door.
