chapter four.
Charlotte looked over at Andy who was trying to process what was occurring. His hands were cupped around his chin and his eyes focused on the pavement, as he store down at the tiny ant hill under them.
"So he just came up to you? Like that?" Charlotte nodded with a sigh seeping her soon afterwards.
"And who does this boy think he is?" He asked himself, sitting up straight.
"Everything." Charlotte spoke. "He thinks he is everything, and that's what makes him out to be such a douche."
Andy nodded.
"You're deep, Char." He winked and Charlotte rolled her eyes.
"Oh, and he calls me Lottie because he assumes that we will reunite one day." She rolled her eyes.
"What is this? The Notebook? Wake up call, things like that don't happen in real life." Andy laughed at Charlotte's words, shaking his head.
"It can, actually."
"I prefer not to believe it does."
"And why is that?" Andy asked.
"Because, it just breaks your heart even more when you don't get that happy ending. In the movies, everything is perfect, and it's all the same. There's nothing classic about it."
"So you don't believe in love?"
"After Cole, no. Not like I did before." Andy sighed.
"One heartbreak can't define what you believe, Charlotte." She shrugged, playing with the melted ice cream in her cup and sighed, standing up and throwing it into the trash can.
"You ready?" She crossed her arms, standing in front of Andy. He nodded and stood up, walking next to her and to his car. When they entered the car, Charlotte's eyes found Luke skating in front of them, scrolling down the pavement. It seemed all like slow motion to her as she watched his frame move. His body was fit and his hair was absolutely gorgeous. His eyes were a piercing light blue that could look right into your soul and those two dimples could make girls go weak in their knees. And the way his tongue runs over that metal attached to his lip -
"Earth to Charlotte Caverly." Andy spoke, waving his hand in front of Charlottes face. She jumped and turned towards him.
"Huh what?" She looked him and he rolled his eyes.
"I was going to see if you wanted to go see a movie." She sighed.
"I am not feeling to hot." She says, wiping the sweat off he forehead. The thoughts she had about Luke made her sick to her stomach. Damn those lips.
"Yeah, you don't look it either." Andy chuckled. She glared at him.
"Go to your boyfriends house." She rolled her eyes and Andy scuffed, starting the car.
"Okay, Anderson is not my boyfriend, I am pretty sure he isn't even gay -"
"But you love him." She poked at him and smirked. Andy blushed.
"Do not."
"Do too."
"Do not."
"Do too."
"Do not."
"Do not."
"Do too - Damn it, Charlotte! You can't trick me like that!" She shouted, slamming his palm weakly onto the steering wheel. Charlotte erupted into laugher, holding tightly onto her stomach and tears spilled from her eyes. Andy glared.
"Okay, now you are defiantly going home." She backed out, making Charlotte laugh.
"I would be glad to."
