Father, what is this word that I have never heard?
I would never know, I never had one.
There was someone, but he never cared.
He lied. He cheat. He stole. He did drugs.
He left me waiting, LONGING to be with him,
And I just sat, waiting...
After thirteen years, I was STILL waiting!
I waited EVERY second
Of EVERY minute
Of EVERY hour
Of EVERY, SINGLE DAY!
And yet, my father never came...
And so I gave up,
That little hope shattered.
I refuse to wait any longer
For someone that would never come...
And so I grew up without a father,
Trying hard not to cry
As I see other dads give their life
For a SECOND of their child's attention.
And I cut him from my life,
No words left to say.
A father is what I never had,
And alone I shall stay, without him...
