Chapter 2: New Friends

Ring-Ring (The school bell rings)

I gather my things and stand up, Naruto stands beside me. "How did the talk with Shikamaru go?" I smile up at him, "I think we made two friends". His eyes widen in shock, "Sakura, you serious?" A smile slowly creeps on his face. I nod. "We are going to eat lunch with them, be on your best behavior!" He looks at me confused, "Two friends? Them? Who is the other??" I giggle, "Shikamaru only has one friend like us, his name is Choji." "Oh, the chub-..." I hit the back of his head. "Don't call him names, Baka." I roll my eyes, "Come on, its break time. You know what that means." He jumps in excitement. "FOOD!" "Exactly."

We hurry out of the classroom before all the snacks were gone. "Hey forehead!" I guess we were not fast enough, Karin begins walking towards us and Naruto jumps in front of me, "Karin, you maybe my cousin but that doesn't mean I'll go easy on you, leave Sakura-Chan alone!" I place my hand on his shoulder, "Naruto, it's fine." I look to Karin, "What do you want?" She scoffs, "What do I want? Are you seriously asking me that? I dont need anything from filth like you. I just want to know why you have a smile on that ugly face of yours." "I smile, Because Im happy, should there be a reason?" The truth is Im extremely depressed, but like hell will I show Karin some weakness! She walks close to me, "I will wipe that smile off your face, Billboard-brow." She pushes me and walks away. Naruto catches me. "What a bitch. I can't believe you and she are related. Anyways thanks for catching me." I look up at his face, he was angry. I hate it when he gets angry, smiles suit him more. I turn and look at him, "I'm fine, Naruto, really! Lets go get some food." He sighs, "Alright."

Naruto never buys snacks at school, he always brings an instant ramen. As for me, I bought a KitKat and a ginger ale. "Hey, Naruto-Kun?" I saw him begin to blush, he knows I only call him that when I want something. "What is it, Saku-Chan?" I look down at my KitKat. "Can we go outside and sit in the garden this year?" You see at break every year Naruto and I always walk around the school. He smiles, "Of course!!" We rush to the garden. Upon arrival, the place is empty. Why is it empty? This place is beautiful. Me and Naruto sat on a concrete bench in front of the Great Elder tree placed in the center of the Garden. "It's breathtaking, isn't it?" I jump at the voice and quickly turn around to find a boy named Shino sitting at the base of the tree. "Hey! You're that bug dude!" I hit Naruto's arm, which tells him to stop calling people names. "Yeah, that's me." I look around to see if he was with anyone. "Where are your friends?" he answered immediately, "I don't have any." My eyes widen, "You have no friends? Why not?" He sighs, "Would you want to be friends with someone who is obsessed with bugs?" I place a finger on my chin. "Hmm, Of course I would!" His eyes widen, "Wait, really?" I nodded. "Hm, you are an interesting one." I giggle, "So is there any other reasons why you dont have friends?" "I'm forgettable." His answer made my heart drop, 'what does he mean by that?... Thats so sad.'

"Hey, Bu-um Shino, want to sit with us?" Naruto asked. 'Wow Naruto is trying to make a friend??' Shino thinks for a second, "Sure, if you don't mind." Naruto is sitting on my right and Shino sits on my left, 'Maybe, just maybe this year will be a good one!

Five minutes pass and we had an enjoyable time just talking, well listening to Naruto talk, and joking around. I should ask to see his schedule! "Hey, Shino." He looks over at me. "Can I see your schedule? I know we have first block together." He reaches in his bag and hands me his senior schedule. 'Truly a man of few words.'

Shinos Schedule:

Kakashi Sensei: Life Skills. (8:00-9:00)

Break. (9:00-9:30)

Asuma: Economics. (9:30-10:30)

Gai: Gym. (10:30-11:30)

Lunch. (11:30-12:00)
