Chapter - 6

"They killed my parents."

"Who killed them?"

"Vampires..."

"What vampires?"

"Yes, vampires. They killed my father, my mother, my sister, and everyone."

"Then who saved you?"

"My grandmother. She saved me and took me to my uncle's home. She left me there and gave me this necklace and bracelet."

"Where is she now?"

"I don't know. She left me there and never returned. Now, my uncle is my father. He raised me, loved me, and provided everything that makes me happy."

"You've truly faced many hardships in the past. But..."

"Enough, Smyth. I don't want to relive those memories."

"I'm sorry. Okay, let's go for a walk."

"Right now?"

"No, not now. We'll go tomorrow morning for a walk in the forest."

"In the forest? Okay, I'll come with you."

Next Day,

Smyth and Lara met at the cafeteria in the morning and enjoyed a cup of hot coffee together.

"This coffee is really good."

"Yes, you're right, Smyth."

After coffee:

"Now, let's go for a walk."

"Okay, let's go."

Upon reaching the forest:

"Oh, my legs are hurting. We've walked quite a distance. Let's go back."

"What are you saying, Lara? We haven't even started climbing the mountain."

"Did you forget the distance between the college and the forest? It's too far."

"Oh, don't worry about it. Come on, let's climb."

"Alright, let's go."

"Good, follow me."

"You're really strong, Smyth."

"What? How can you say that?"

"You have nice abs and a strong body. I saw that when we met."

"But you said you saw nothing. You're a liar."

"Okay, that's enough. Let's go back. Look, there's a warning sign not to proceed."

Suddenly, the howling of a wolf echoed through the forest.

"You were right. Let's move quickly," Smyth said.

And then, a wolf emerged from behind the bushes in front of them.

"Don't worry, Lara. I'll handle it. You run quickly and get some help," Smyth ordered.

"But it could be dangerous... I can't leave you here alone."

"Just do as I said."

Smyth picked up the nearest log of wood and began to fight the wolf.

"Lara, go fast...," he urged.

Lara quickly ran towards the college to seek help.
