Y'all probably gonna have me murdered while I sleep for taking so long for at least update or flash a sign this story is alive ]

"You?"

Nearly breaking his own neck, Alan turned his head around with a rush of relief traveling through his veins. It was his saviour. His hero. Whoever she was, he was just glad to escape embarrassment.

But, oh did his heart flew right out of his chest once he realized who was beside him.

Therese stood there, tall and proud, and one arm leaning against his shoulder. His eyes widened at how surprised he was to see her, hotter than he should probably think Therese was. She faced him, both faces ever so close, smiling as if she wasn't pretending. Oh, he could kiss her there and there- wait, what?

But in a few seconds, Alan began to realize everything she was doing that moment was nothing than an act.

Well... he was an actor, wasn't he?

"I don't recall stuttering, but yes. I am his date," Therese answered that confused all of them whether she was being sarcastic or not as she innocently tucked one side of her hair behind her ear.

Keira's eyes narrowed to the fact that she looked like she had her eyes closed, but she grinned even more, which was quite unexpected. She looked at Therese up and down, more suspicious than a father eyeing a his daughter's courter.

"That's wonderful," Keira cried out for the entire cafe to hear, "now tell me, how long have you been together?"

The way she asked it sounded like she couldn't get over the fact she lost the opportunity to make fun of Alan at least once that moment, and her arm held a tight grip onto boyfriend's that made him glare at her. Alan and Therese exchanged glances, forcing a convincing and loving smile as Therese replied, "For no less than 4 months now."

Questions then started to flood through.

"Where did you two meet?"

"He was visiting the orphanage I run."

"Then we fell in love." Alan smiled to himself. At least he was helping covering up their story. Therese rolled her eyes playfully, "Then we fell in love."

Therese watched as Keira scoffed audibly between her and her boyfriend, and asked another question. "Is it your anniversary today?"

'This is as easy as improv' Therese thought to herself, wishing she could laugh.

"Not yet. If I'm not wrong... in about 2 weeks from now?" She felt Alan's breath fanning her neck. "Correct, babe."

The two could admit anyone can sense that the couple in front of them wanted to leave 5 seconds ago from at least 10 feet away. There was no denying that Alan and Therese were both "happy" and "perfect"

Keira raised her eyebrow once more and leaned against her boyfriend, one hand on his thigh and rubbed. "Have you two had sex before?" she asked that sounded like a hiss.

Therese's breath hitched for a moment. She should've saw this question coming, duh.

"Well..." she turned to the man beside her as if she were asking permission if she could reply. Their faces were so close again, and he nodded, smirking as if to say yes. "We have. Countless of times. But I have to admit, you're quite brave to say it out loud in a place with young children running around." She beckoned to a few toddlers a few tables away, chasing one another.
