Our story begins a long time ago, before the cottage and stained glass windows. Before Leah was well known as a hero and friend.

Everything starts on the doorstep of a children's home, perhaps not what you would expect. Leah's been travelling all around England, long before she moved to California. She's standing in the pouring rain and repeatedly ringing the doorbell of the place she grew up.

The door opens and a middle aged man looks taken aback. His greying hair and polo shirt make him look like a friendly face.
"Leah?"
"Yeah, hi Peter, I'm sorry to drop in. I had no where else to go. They're after me again." Leah explains as quickly as she can, she has no idea who's watching.
"Yes of course, come on in" Peter flashes a smile.
Peter was the closest thing Leah had to a father. With no real parents to speak of, she grew up in a care-home just outside of London. The house is empty apart from Peter, there are no children, not anymore.

Leah knows it's not safe for her to be here for more than a couple of hours.
"What's going on?" Peter has made tea and the pair have settled in the living room of the giant house.
"They're after me again. They've tracked me all over the country, I guess I've come to say goodbye."
"Goodbye?"
"I'm moving to California, it's safer for everyone, especially you." Leah glances up from her lap and meets the caring eyes of her father figure.
"I understand, I wish the best for you" Peter smiles warmly and stands to meet the young girl in a hug.

"You better go out the back door, because someone's coming up the drive."
