I woke up to excited voices all over the house.

I could only hear bits and pieces of what was being said:

"...gonna love it here!"

"...can sleep here..."

"He better not be ..."

"...wonder what Ebony will think."

I stopped listening at that and decided to go see what was all the excitement about. Nobody should be this happy at... I looked at the clock to see it was 8:58.

Fuuuck! Why this early?!?!

I groaned and started for the door.

When I was walking out the door I passed my mirror and almost screamed at the sight there.

My hair was twisted and tangled in everyway possible. My one eye was as red as an apple and there was dried tears all over my face. Even though my eye is permanently closed, tears still escape.

I quickly decided that a trip to the bathroom was best before going to find out what was up.

Jocelyn's bed was made and all her stuffed animals were stacked in their usual order: big bears, small bears, dogs, then others. Her side of the room was bright with all kinds of colors while my side of the room was mostly black and dark blue. Our room was pretty big because it fits two full size beds, two dressers, and all the other junk we have. I guess it's about the size of a regular room with one window. Jocelyn was a neat freak and the only reason our room stayed clean clean.

I say clean clean because I clean our room. Some. My definition of cleaning the room is making up the bed and picking up dirty clothes. Jocelyn dusts, straightens the things on her dresser, sweep the hardwood floors, and folds all her clothes in her drawers. I mean who does that? Nobody can see them in the drawer!

I shook my head and opened the door that led to the hallway.

They were empty. Like deserted empty. I guess everyone was downstairs.

Ellies' house was only two stories but had ten rooms. I know what does she need ten for? Well, when they bought the house, Ellie already knew she wanted a whole house full of kids and Josh being so whipped, got a builder to build a house with ten rooms . When they started the process of making children, they found out that Josh was shooting blanks. (That's what I like to call it.) Josh felt so bad that he couldn't give her what she wanted and one day she saw the ad on TV, you know with the man and he's talking about the hungry children and how you should call? Well, she didn't call. She told Josh she wanted to go into the business of foster care. He couldn't do anything but comply. And since they already had the huge house, it was no problem.

Their first foster children were a set of twins the age of fifteen. One boy and one girl. Their parents died in a drunken drivers accident and they were staying with family at first but they became too much of a "burden" for them so they gave them to child protective services. Ellie saw them and wanted to keep them together so she took them in. She kept them all the way until they turned eighteen, like she does all her foster children, and she got them a job and they went off with their own lives. They are now twenty-three and both work in a lawyers office. They visit all the time to see how Ellie's doing and that just makes her so happy.

I made it to the bathroom and there was towels thrown everywhere. Even though this house have ten rooms, there's only five bathrooms. What kind of high ass contractor did that?

Sighing in the process, I picked up the towels and just threw them in the hamper. If they wanted their towel, they could dig through there to get it.
