Date #1
Tae walked into the café. The addicting smell of coffee hit him as he opened the door and looked around. He was looking for someone amongst the chatting couples and high schoolers when his eyes landed on table 4.
He smiled and headed towards Jungkook who smiled in return. Tae sat down on the black chair at the table near the window and looked around. Yellow lighting and framed artwork on white walls greeted him. It was the café they used to visit after school when they were in their first year of high school but school kept them so occupied and distant for a year the café had been forgotten.
Jungkook watched Tae admire the place until a waiter halted to his right. He looked up at the waiter that smiled and asked his order "One caramel macchiato and a chocolate milkshake with extra sugar, please." He ordered for them before Tae could open his mouth. 'He remembered', Tae thought. The waiter left with their order and Jungkook turned back to face Tae who was beaming at him. "You still hate coffee?" Jungkook asked and Tae nodded.
Their winter break had just started and Jungkook saw the café when he was going to the park and thought of revisiting it. Their orders were placed on the table, interrupting the comfortable silence that had commenced. Tae sipped his drink simultaneously as Jungkook did.
"Hey Kookie"
"Hmm?"
"Are we...going out now?"
"Do you want that?"
"Yeah" Tae muttered.
"Then we are dating."
Although the word 'dating' caught him by surprise, a small smile embraced Tae's lips as he drank his milkshake. Jungkook could've sworn he saw a slight blush and felt satisfied. Extra sweet just the way he liked it.
