Lydia's POV"Yugyeom?" What is he doing here?
He smiled. "Lydia, I was just looking for you! I heard you were here and wanted to talk to you."
Yugyeom. Secret friend. Childhood crush. I was flustered after not having seen him for a couple of months due to a project abroad.
"It's been a while," I stuttered, "When'd you get home from the US?"
"Umm... a few hours ago, actually," he replied awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. "I found out yesterday... what happened to your uncle... I'm so sorry."
Him mentioning Uncle hit me like a ton of bricks. With the stress of the past few weeks, I hadn't had much time to think about it. Now, with the reappearance of Yugyeom, the sudden pain seemed to resurface. Seeing my expression change, Yugyeom hugged me. I held onto him for dear life while willing for my tears not to overflow, but they betrayed me and spilled out, running down my cheeks.
"It's okay. I'm sorry I wasn't here, but I am now." He patted your back, soothing you as you let out your pent up sadness.

Jungkook's POV
Walking back to the dressing rooms, I heard light sobbing down the other hall. The next sight I saw as I rounded the corner caught me off guard. It was Ms. Seo, embracing a man who's identity I couldn't tell because he was facing away. I felt my heart drop, at the sight of her tears, but also her ability to let them out to this man.
Then, I suddenly saw a flash out of the corner of my eye that I had come know all too well. This could mean trouble.
I wondered if I should care. After all, whoever the man holding her was could take care of her, right?
Who am I kidding? I rolled my eyes and mentally facepalmed at what I was about to do. Then, I went with my gut, sprinting past them, running after the paparazzi that had snagged the photo.
Perks of being BTS's muscle pig: I'm one hell of a fast runner. I grabbed the man by the collar and yanked him backwards, pinning him under me.
Soon after, a surprised panting Ms. Seo arrived, along with the man from before.
Yugyeom? I thought he was overseas?
"Jungkook-hyung?" Yugyeom looked between me and the cameraman under me confused.
"I saw him take a picture of you two... earlier." Understanding dawned on Yugyeom's face. He snatched the camera out of the poor paparazzi's hands, taking out the SD card and snapping it in two.
"There, problem solved." Yugyeom tossed the camera back to the man as the man looked down at the broken SD card somberly. I got off the paparazzi and he immediately left as quickly as he had appeared.
"I think I'll take my leave for tonight. Lydia, it was nice seeing you again. If you ever need anything, or just want to talk to someone, I'm always here." With that, Yugyeom left.
The two of us, left alone, couldn't meet each other's eyes.
"It's not what you think," she said quietly, "He's an old friend. Used to take dance with him... he's like a brother to me."
Still feeling tense but at the same time relieved, I looked up at her and nodded. Just then, Suga came down the hall.
"Ah, Kookie, we've been looking all over for you! Oh... hello, Ms. Seo." He must've seen her eyes slightly swollen, because he paused, unsure of what to say. He seemed to choose the safest option of not saying anything and taking me back to our dressing room, dropping off Ms. Seo on the way.
Before we entered the room, he stopped me, looking slightly angry.
"What happened, Jeon Jungkook?" I gulped at his use of my name so unusually seriously. He must think I said something insensitive to her.
But how can I tell him? It was her business... plus, couldn't bring myself to mention Yugyeom. Instead, I just shook my head.
"Nothing, Hyung. Nothing happened. We just talked," I lied, looking down.
Suga gave me a disappointed look before sighing and opening the door to the dressing room.
Everyone stared at us, noticing the tense atmosphere.
I didn't care. All I could think was: Why did I lie?
