Screeching, the bus finally stopped in front of Woodward High School. The kids crammed in their seats make way off the bus and up to school. Lucy tiredly grabbed her backpack and got off the bus, schedule in hand, walking into the school to find her classes. After 5 minutes of trying to get her locker to open, Lucy grabbed her Biology book and made her way to class. Darting her eyes around  if anyone she knew was in her class, she sneakingly went to the back corner of the room and sat down. Scribbled on the board, "Mr. Travern" was spelled across in purple chalk on the board. As other students hurried into the room, the bell rang to start class. Mr. Tavern walks in and Lucy's mouth dropped. Light brown hair that was slicked at the front. Bright green eyes that popped like emeralds stared right at her. Lucy took in the view of the teacher; late 20s early 30s with little stubble upon his chin. Dress shirt in black, rolled up above his elbows, showing a bit of muscle, presented his newly golden watch. Grey dress pants that wore comfortably around his waist held up by a already worn down, leather belt. He gave her a comfortable smile that made his eyes twinkle at her. Lucy's heart skipped a beat and darted her eyes from the teacher. Mr. Tavern stands in front of the room and begins to speak, "Hello class, my name is. Mr. Lucas Tavern and I will be your biology teacher for the semester. Please call me by my last name Tavern as shown on the board."
Lucy's mind boggled at the sound of his voice. It wasn't harsh but it was gentlemen like and had a soft feeling to it. He cleared his throat and continued talking.
"Now I will pass out your syllabus of the ground rules of my classroom. Everyone must pay attention and be alert at all times, where I will call on you randomly and not accept hands raised. No phones should be present in my class. So if anyone has a phone out please put it away at this time."
Students grunted and threw the phones in their bags and turned to look at the teacher as he was passing out the papers. Lucy's eyes were locked on Mr. Taverns watch which had engravings on it, "The Heart of You" which made her stomach go uneasy. Her father had the same watch before it was burned in a house fire last summer and was never to be found.
"Ms. Lucy can you please put your phone away?" He said interrupting her from the horrible memory. Lucy nodded and slowly put her phone away. Grabbing the paper from the kid infront of her she sighs and lays her head down. This day cant get anymore weird...
