While the guys were hung over or oversleeping with the exception of Mark, King of Sobriety, the girls and I spent the morning texting back and forth but I had an interview so we had to postpone our girl's day. Not that Tylyn minded- she worked overnights and had to be in tonight, she wasn't exactly a morning person anyway.

My dad dropped me off at the bakery upon insisting due to the fact that he and Chris were "heading that way anyway" but promised to let me walk back.

"Good luck, babygirl," he smiled and gave me a dorky two thumbs up before driving away.

Imagine my surprise when I ran into Jungkook on the way in.

"Hey, Annabella," a large smile graced his lips as he immediately recognized me. Or maybe he'd seen me getting out of the car. He

"Hey." I went to casually fix my hair as I suddenly self conscious of my nicest boots, leggings and fitted maroon sweater dress. I even wore earrings and twisted up my hair, but somehow Jungkook's gaze made me almost too self-aware.

He smiled sweetly and looked me over as we entered. "Daaammn, Miss Lewis, Miss Lewis! You're turning some heads today." He nodded at a bearded guy walking past the little bakery who was clearly staring and waved when we made eye contact.

I didn't know about Patchy the Pirate but I could definitely say the same for Jungkook. He was wearing a large Letterman jacket with a fitted turtleneck sweater and stonewashed blue jeans that sat above Timberland boots. His hair was parted to the side and for some reason my chest felt light as I looked up at him. I could tell from the stares of the group of older women sitting nearest the entrance snacking on their pies and cobblers that at least two of them felt the same.

"Thanks...I have an, uh....an interview. Here." Why is this so embarrassing? Am I sweating? It's like thirty five degrees outside.

Jungkook's eyes widened and he smiled wider. "Oh wow! Congratulations. I'm sure you'll get the job."

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

He smirked. "I work here." My jaw nearly hit the floor and he chuckled. "I'm kidding. I'm just a regular customer. Here almost every day."

"What do you usually buy?"

"Well 'm basically Uber Eats for my grandma and she loves the desserts here, but this season they have apple cider donuts so I'm here for that." He was staring at the front counter with a determined look in his eyes, practically salivating right then.

"Is it that good?"

He smiled, patting his stomach. "They're the best. And the lemonade?" He made a funny face that was a mix between both agony and pleasure I couldn't help but laugh out loud at. My reaction earned a proud smile from my new friend and as we walked up to the counter together the cute cashier I'd talked to before smiled. They called him Gumball for some reason. "Hey, Annabelle, right?"

"Annabella. Or everyone calls me Belly, I guess. But yeah."

"Belly. Got it." His smile brightened. "You're early." His eyes went over my head and his smile turned into a smirk. "Here to eat us out of business?"

Jungkook chuckled. "Screw you. Hand over the goods."

"Whatever. Drina, Kookie's back!" Gumball called towards the back.

"Kookie?" I simpered. Jungkook rolled his eyes.

Gumball winked at me and nodded. "I'll go let Will know you're here, you can just hang out here for a sec." He gestured a large hand towards the dining area. "Oh!" He bent down to grab a cup and walked over to his right to fill it with ice and what I assumed to be the lemonade Jungkook was so fond of before handing it to me. "On the house."
