High School Sweetheart Chapter 1: The First Encounter
“Lee Sora, I swear if your lazy ass doesn’t appear in front of the door in 10 seconds, I will never wait for you again.” Hyukjae spoke. Miraculously, his sister appeared immediately in front of him and before Hyukjae could threaten her, she shoved a piece of toast into his mouth and grinned cheekily.
“C’mon, let’s go already. We’re late!” Sora laughed and pulled her brother outside. She could hear her brother mumble some incoherent words but she managed to comprehend something along the lines of you brat. She rolled her eyes before slowly finishing her toast, not wanting to choke and make a scene of herself in front of her new home.
Their dad was tired of city life and so he decided to live the rest of his life in a peaceful and secluded area. So, when a job place was offered here in Mokpo, their dad didn’t hesitate to take that role. Even though the wage is not as good as his previous one, the fact that the house was given to them by the company was enough. After all, the money in their family bank account is enough to last them pretty long.
The siblings seems to both be in deep thoughts about their first day at school. As soon as they arrived at the gates, the usual routine of that school replayed itself.
“Oppa! Donghae Oppa!” a bunch of screaming girls was seen at the front of the school gates, blocking people’s paths. Then, a boy with orange-flames hair appeared further down the road.
It was as if the road suddenly turned into a catwalk, he walked through the crowd of girls, giving them smiles and flirtatious comments before disappearing into the school building with the girls following him like lost puppies.
“Oh my god! How can anyone be that sexy and hot?” Hyukjae’s sister gasped to herself, falling in love already. Hyukjae rolled his eyes and continued walking down the road to their school, SM High, the best school within this area. Sora tagged along but her heart was elsewhere.
They had first lesson together, biology. The teacher introduced them and they sat down at the back of the class.
“Hey,” a voice whispered to Hyukjae. Hyukjae looked up to see a good-looking boy smiling at him. He smiled back before continuing with his note making. At the end of the lesson, as Hyukjae finished putting his books in his bag, the boy from earlier came and talked to him.
Hyukjae soon found out that the boy was called Xiah Junsu, who had most of his lessons except dance and history. The two boys seemed to get along very well, and soon it was lunchtime.
