Peace

The mind can be a scorpions nest of conflict and guilt. When a man's thoughts are this state of disarray he becomes to desire one thing.
Peace.
It is the reason people who've had success move to the country and sprout a family. It is not the power and the wealth that actually makes a man happy, it is peace which makes men happy.
Many a man has realised what I am saying, and after realising the horrors of the previously mentioned illusion. They adopt a calmer lifestyle, they retire, they move to the country. They never do realise that in time do they ?
Matthew was no exception. His managerial position had left his mind tired. There were many reasons he left the city. He was happier now, the peace that could be experienced here was second to one. But you'll come to realise that the ultimate peace, the one true happiness, the first and the last where the evils of monsters and men become naught and the evil men who suffered because of the sweet seduction of the songs of power may find happiness as their eyes rest, and the hero's who died like fools and the fools that died as a hero would; they find the sleep as well. Good men shiver at the thought of death as they have never suffered in life.
Peace. It's the song of the woods.
But only the evil man knows.
That there is only sweetness,
When the curtains are closed.
