Walk this way!

Talk this way!

Well just gimme a kiss

Jocelyn could hear the music thumping from the end of the road.

She was late on purpose, fashionably late, as she liked to call it.

It was almost ten and she was sure all of Lance's poor neighbours could hear Run-D.M.C screaming their lungs off. The house was perched smack bang in the middle of Vicarage Road.

She teetered carefully in her four inch red heels, and ruby coloured skin tight dress that she knew complimented her curves.

In her hand, she held a birthday card and a gift voucher from the record store she worked at. She couldn't care less about the present she got him, she was there to let her hair down. Literally.

Hakeem had been playing on her mind all week to the point of madness. As soon as she entered, the first thing she would do was try and get a drink. Preferably something strong.

The door was left wide open, an invitation in itself.

Some guys were sat on the porch, smoking a cigarette between them, their eyes glinting amber under the orange streetlights. One whistled at her as she made her way up the steps and she smiled to herself. That was a good sign.

The first thing that hit her was the smell. Something like sweat and smoke.

People inside the house were smoking a blunt, in a corner of the room, huddled together and looking around wildly. A DJ was in the other corner, commanding the music that spilt around the house like a flood, seeming to increase the volume every other minute, to the point where she almost couldn't hear herself think.

In the middle of the room, bundles of people grinded, danced and invaded each other's personal space to the point where they were practically on top of each other.

On the wall a large blue banner said ''HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANCE!'' and a blue balloon which had hung there was popped, as a drunk man stabbed it with his fork.

Ok..

Behind the hoards of people were a pair of sliding doors which led to a massive back garden, from what she could see there was also a damn pool, which two girls were dipping their feet into.

Lance was richer than she had given him credit for.

She stumbled her way through the big group of people on the dance floor, and opened the back door, grateful for the sudden breeze that graced her suddenly.

She spotted Lance on a lounge chair, his shoes dashed elsewhere, laughing at something said. Michael was positioned nearby him, with an arm slung over...

Tatiana.

Seeing her was like a shock to the system.

Sometimes when she fooled around with Michael, it was easy to forget that there was someone being affected by all of it .

There was someone that was being cheated on. And seeing Tatiana cuddling into Michael's side as she was, so comfortably, caused a sudden wave of guilt to engulf her in that moment.

She had never met Tatiana before, but the girl was even more beautiful in real life than on the TV. Her long curls framed her fair face perfectly and her body was slim, and graceful.

Michael caught sight of her first, and then Lance did, who waved her over. She had never met Lance in person either, but Michael had talked about him a few times and some part of Jocelyn thought that he knew who she was.
