Jace learns the struggle of her life on the other side of town and battles to solve the breaking relation of diversity. Living in a town of war, he finds it hard it to keep that heart-beat, but will it all end with loving hugs or flowers on a grave? The story follows four British women of colour, four non white women across seven weeks that will prove to be fairly pivotal in their journeys of self discovery and ultimately a lesson in how we are so much easier to rule when we are divided.

They agreed there'd be nothing sexual, but it seemed inevitable that it'd lead there. Cress gave her innocence to a stranger who had to leave the next day. For his part, Jasper was mourning the loss of his freedom as he faced an arranged betrothal. He wanted to get the most out of his last day of freedom and took a risk to ditch his security. The innocent Latina he met wasn't part of it, and neither was sleeping with her. He couldn't help himself, she was like the soulmate the old books spoke of even if she was human. He left, leaving her to discover her pregnancy and deal with her conservative family. Will he marry the woman his family wants? Or will the memory of his sweet innocent haunt him until he comes back?
