You and Emilio have been dating for two years. You asked Emilio to go to the carnival, you rode abunch of rides and played a bunch of games. After a while you both got tired. You guys went home, and Emilio called you.
E: hey baby, How are you?
You: good
E: You sure?
You: I'm fine.
E: I'll call you tomorrow to check up on you. I love you
You: okay... talk to you tomorrow....
You hung up he phone and decided to go to bed. Emilio stayed up all night thinking about you, wondering if you were okay.
When it was about 10am you called him, you asked if you could possibly stay at his house for the night. He said okay.
You started heading for his house at 5pm.
E: what's up with you today? You're so quiet. So solemn, what's wrong?
You: Nothing, it's nothing. You know what? I'm going to go home now, I didn't mean to waste your time. Sorry, I'm going home.
E: I'll walk you home.
You: okay.
It was a quiet walk home, but once you reached your house he kissed you on the check goodbye. He started running for his house, not looking back. Once he reached his house he texted you saying "is everything alright babe?" You never replied.
She he called your house phone. Still no answer, he thought "why is she acting like this? Did I do something wrong? Why isn't she picking up?"
The next day at school you gave Ivan a note, and told him to give it to his brother, when she says so.
Your dad picked you up after school, and the twins walked home with their buddies.
But what happened next is what turned Emilio's life upside down. Emilio's cellphone rang, caller I'd said 'general hospital' he instantly knew something wasn't right.
E: hello?
Doc: yes, hello. I'm from the ER department. Do you know y/n?
E: yes, she's my girlfriend. Why, what's wrong? Is she hurt? What happened? Is she okay?
Doc: I'm very sorry, but your girlfriend just passed away.
E: how did she.....?
Doc: she died from a brain tumor, according to our files she's had one since she was 5. We were going to remove it but her dad turned it down at the last minute. I'm sorry. She also told me before she passed, that you can read the note now.
You were so confused you knew nothing about a note. You hung up.
Emilio choked back tears and ran to Ivan's room to tell him what had happened. When you were dont you told him about a note she said she gave you. Ivan sprung up and ran to his backpack. To find the note. He runs back to Emilio "bro, she gave this to me today and said I couldn't give it to you until she told me to do so."
You hug Ivan and go back to your room. You read the note. It said "My Dearest Emilio,
I loved you with all of my heart, and I wanted to say this. I've had a brain tumor for most of my life. The doctors were planning on removing it, but my alcoholic father turned it down. So therefore the doctors gave be 13 years to live (They started dating at 16 years old). I wanted to tell you when I stayed at your house, but I couldn't bring myself to do so, that's why I didn't stay at your house the other night. I love you so much Emilio. Please don't forget about me. Keep me in your heart. Forever and always, love y/n"
He started to cry, he didn't know what to do. He was also kind of mad that she didn't tell you, but he understood why she couldn't. He went back to his brothers room, and just laid there. They both shared stories about all of the things you guys did together. Never forgetting her, wishing she was still with you, thinking about all of the things you guys could've done together....
