I kicked open the doors, quickly looking around for everyone. Nobody was in the hall. "Crap!" I ran outside of the school, going to the auditorium. I was running full speed until I hit someone. I fell backwards on my back, feeling a painful throbbing on my head. I rubbed it carefully, trying not to make it worse. "Hey you alright?" I looked up to see my crush, Chris. His cute bunny ears were so cute. I blushed, knowing this was some cheesy coincidence. He held out a hand, as I took it, I admired his hands, they felt nice. "Yeah, I'm fine." He smiled. "Thank goodness. Uh, where are you heading?" I nodded at the Auditorium. "Oh, are you entering?" I shook my head. "Nah, I don't really have a talent." He raised an eyebrow. "You're lying. Everyone has a talent." I rolled my eyes. "If you call a headshot 360 a talent, I don't think so."
Before he said anything else I felt my phone vibrate again. I quickly grabbed it and looked. My eyes widened, I got distracted by him. I quickly ran past him. "Hey, wai-" I turned around. "We'll talk later! Gotta be there for my fam!" I kept on running and burst through the doors of the backstage. People were looking at me, but I didn't care, I wanted to see Voodoo.
As I turned, I seen her. She was standing with Painite, and Prime. I jogged over, now catching my breathe.  "Hey guys." They turned towards me, Voodoo's face lit up. "Zax!!!" She quickly hugged me. Then we pulled away, hearing her name being called. "Zax, I'm nervous." I placed both hands on my shoulders. "You can do this, I believe in you." She smiled. "Thanks." I raised two thumbs up. "You can do this, now go." I nudged her, trying to get her on stage. She stood there, the crowd silence, as she quietly raises her instrument, she walks closer to the mic.
My name is Voodoo, and today I am going to play Home by Philip Philip. Hope you all enjoy." I smiled excited. She looks over at me, looking scared, I motioned to take a deep breathe. She nodded and looked back at the crowd. She takes and deep breathe and let her voice out, playing with the sound, going along with the song beautifully.
As we listened, Painite grabs my hands and danced with the song. We laughed as we twirled, sing along, move around. It's nice. As I slowly parted from Painite, I hear someone behind me. I turned around, seeing an friend of mine, Evan. He held out a hand to me. "May I have a dance as well?" Playfully, I smiled and took his hand. "You may." Me and him laughed. We started dancing, as Painite watched, Prime was watching too.
I had a lot of fun. I was glad I came, if not where would I be?

The song was over. We all  congratulated Voodoo for her performance. "Couldn't have done it without you guys." Suddenly Painite came out behind us. "HUGS!!!" Everyone had hugged eachother, except me, I'm not a hugger, which is why I didn't hug Voodoo back.
We went back home, having a little party that Voodoo was one of the top three.
I went home, going to bed, reminding myself that my friends care about me, and I care about them.
