I finally had the house to myself. I sigh as I flop down in the bed and decide to take a nap. Closing my eyes I dreamt of Rick.
"(Y/n)!!!" He yelled. I open my eyes to see him falling off a cliff. I instectivly jump after him.
"Rick!!" I yell back. He smirks seeing I've jumped too and pulls out his portal gun.
"hasta la vista baby." I freak out seeing him portal to safety and I scream till I hit the ground. I woke up drenched in sweat and breathing hard.
"What the fuck was that about?" I question aloud to myself. "Fuck." I say again trying to calm myself down. I look at the clock and read the time. 2:30. "Yes! I can sleep more!" I say excitedly. Pulling the covers over myself I drift off again.
*time skip*
Rick just got back with Morty a few days later, they looked exhausted but sat around watching tv then actually sleeping. "How was the trip Morty?" I ask politely.
"I-It was awesome. Me and Rick g-got to go to the radioactive planet and make puns about Imagine Dragons while destroying a bunch of z-zombified creatures." I hold a blunt stare.
"Really Rick? Puns about Imagine Dragons? Weak." I sigh. "I just hope it wasn't enough radiation to 'make your systems glow' am I right?" I laugh alone as they both glare at me.
"Y-you ruined it."
"Yeah." Rich agrees with his grandson and reaches for his flask but realizes it empty. "Hey hun-"
"Already ahead of ya." I hand him the scotch and he downs a swig. As I stare at him I remember the dream I had a few hours ago my mind racing places and giving my small chills down my spine.
"You okay (y/n)?" Morty asks. I nod smiling politely.
"Ya know, I never got why you are so nice to him." Rick takes another drink from the bottle while staring me down.
"W-Well I'm just not as cold hearted as some people."
"Did you just stutter?" He asks laughing a small bit. I don't speak again, instead, I get my phone from my back pocket and scroll through my camera roll, avoiding conversation. "Hey Morty, why don't you head back now you piece of shit? Your not wanted here." The Morty does as his grandfather tells him and head out the front door to go back home with the rest of his family. "What's wrong?" He finally asks, as soon as the door shuts, in a bored tone.
"What do you mean?" I question in return, playing dumb.
"You can't lie to me (y/n), I know you too well." Rick takes another swig, eyes still dancing around the television screen. I contemplate telling him for a moment or two before coming to a conclusion: he's not gonna stop asking so might as well tell the truth.
"I-ummm," I struggle to find words as he waits impatiently. "Do you love me?" He cocks his brow, finally ripping his eyes from the screen.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"I'm being serious babe, I need to know because I'm not so sure anymore." There's a hint of hurt in his eyes as I clarify what I'm speaking of, making me tuck my bottom lip between my teeth.
"Yes, I love you. Are we done now?" He speaks swiftly, slurring some of his words together in the rush to get them off his tongue.
"Prove it." I almost bite back, the words leaving a metallic taste in my mouth. He gulps down a drink of scotch and gets up off the couch, heading in my direction. As he approaches I get slightly nervous but also excited by the mystery of what's to come. Setting the bottle down, Rick aggressively grabs my face and places his lips onto mine, making my eyes go wide before they flutter closed.
A/N: yes I am alive and well. I haven't even looked at this in such a long time and I really have no excuse for it, I just got stuck and never came back to it till now. I might keep working on this or I might not, who knows, just don't keep your hopes up (Yes I know it's fucking short). Also you can probably tell where I last left off and where I picked up because, in my opinion, I've increased in my writing skills quite a bit durning this break.
