Luke’s POV
After an hour in the car with everyone singing and listening to music really loud, we decided we were far away enough to actually call it a “trip.” We all get out of the car and look around. There’s a nice open area for us to camp and some trees.
“Ew, outside,” Anna says. Michael scratches his head and nods in agreement.
“There’s definitely not going to be any wifi,” he points out, and goes to sit under a tree. Anna joins him. I look around to realize that everyone’s gone. Ashton and Daisy are probably off exploring already, and who knows where Calum and Alasia could be.
“Soooo,” I say, unsure of what to do. Addy shrugs.
“I guess we should set the tent up,” she suggests. I agree that it would be a good idea, and we start. We got it layed out in the right spot, but after that we struggled a bit.
“I thought you said you’ve done this before?” I ask Addy who looked kind of confused.
“Well, I’ve seen my brother do it before..,” she smiles nervously and I just shake my head. After a few more minutes of failing at putting up a tent, we finally figure it out.
“YAAAAAAAAY SUCCESS!” Addy says extremely loud. A flock of birds fly out of the tree where Anna and Michael are, and they both scream.
“Oops,” she says as she laughs nervously and flashes an innocent smile in Michael and Anna’s direction.
Calum’s POV
Alasia and I were looking around while everyone was doing other things and I found some wood, so I decided to bring it back to make a camp fire. I drop the wood and start to build the fire.
“Don’t burn yourself,” Alaisa tells me.
“I won’t burn mys-OW” I hold my burnt finger, as Alasia shakes her head and Luke laughs at me.
“Shut up Lucas I’d like to see you try,” I challenge him, and he shrugs like it’s no big deal. Luke crouches down and attempts to start the fire.
“OW OW OW SHIT!” Luke yells and jumps away from the fire. Addy and Alasia were dying of laughter while watching. I crouch down to try again but Alasia finally stops laughing just in time to stop me.
“Whoa whoa whoa, why don’t you let someone else do it,” she says. I stand up and pout at her.
“Fine,” I sigh and kiss Alasia on the cheek as I walk by past her, and we sit down on a log.
“Yeah back up losers,” Addy says, “Let the fire master do it.”
“Since when are you the fire master?” Luke asks, and Addy rolls her eyes.
Ashton’s POV
Daisy and I snuck away to take a walk through the woods while everyone else was doing other things.
“Hey, I think you can eat that one” I said pointing to a plant that looked somewhat familiar.
“Uhhhh I don’t know,” Daisy replied, “You better not.”
“Whyyyy?” I whined.
“Because! What if you’re completely wrong and it’s a DEADLY plant?!?” She asks me, and I laugh.
“Fine, I won’t eat it then,” I say and take her hand.
We seemed to have almost walked in a whole circle, because I could see Michael’s red hair through the trees. I told Daisy to stay quiet as I slowly creeped closer to the camp site. She got what I was trying to do, and followed me.
“Yeah back up losers,” we hear Addy say, “Let the fire master do it.”
“Since when are you the fire master?” Luke asks. Daisy nearly laughs, but slaps a hand over her own mouth. Anna seems to hear and looks back. I quickly pull Daisy down closer to the ground so no one will see us.
“Oh my god,” Anna says,
“What,” Michael asks, looking around.
“There’s something in the woods,” she tells him.
“Really?” he starts to get up, “Oh god, what if it’s a bear.”
“OH MY GOD MICHAEL!” Anna screams and runs toward Calum and Alasia.
“WHAT WHAT IS IT?” Alasia asks.
“THERE’S A BEAR IN THE WOODS WE’RE GONNA DIE!” Anna yells again.
“OH MY GOD CALUM GO FIGHT IT OFF,” Alasia tells him, and his eyes get wide.
“I CAN’T FIGHT OFF A BEAR!!!!” He tells her.
“Oh my god you guys it’s probably nothing,” Addy shakes her head at them, still concentrated on the fire.
I signal to Daisy, that I'm ready to jump out. She nods and smiles, and we get ready. I hold up my fingers, counting down from three, and then we do it.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH," I scream and burst out of the woods. Everyone screams and I see that Alasia has her face buried in Calum's chest. At first I thought she was crying, but then I realized she was laughing. Addy had managed to drop everything when I scared her in a way that the fire started. Eveyrone was dying lauging... except Anna.
"WHAT THE HELL ASHTON I WAS SO FUCKING SCARED FUCK YOU!" she screamed and Michael laughed while giving her a comforting hug.
"Sorry Anna," I laughed but I probably shouldnt have been laughing. She squinted her eyes at me, and I tried my best to not laugh again.
Michael's POV
I walk over to a log by the fire and sit Anna down.
"You've got to admit it was pretty funny," I tell her with a grin. She grins back.
"I guess..." she replies, and i kiss her on the nose.
"Maybe we should make smores!" I suggest and everyone nods in agreement. I get the stuff to make them and sit back down next to Anna. She takes the bag of marshmallows from me and eats one.
"Marshmallows," She says witha grin, "Just like the astronauts eat!" Anna giggles, waitin for everone to get her spongebob reference. I laughed a little, but it wasnt that funny.
"Whaaatt?" Anna asked looking slightly annoyed, "I thought that was funny?"
"Eh, it was average.." I reply.
"You're annoying," She says, and turns away to roast her marshmallow.
Meanwhile, Alasia is wiping melted chocolate on Calum's face, Daisy and Ashton are giggling about marshmallow stuck to eachothers face, and Luke and Addy are getting ready to play guitar together.
"Sooooo what song," Luke asks.
"You know...." Addy says with a smile. Luke looks confused for a second but catches on. He strumms a few chords that i recognize as the beginning of Wonderwall by Oasis. He knows its Addy's favorite song, and she always wants to play it. She doesn't stop smiling at all the entire time she plays and for a while after.
After a while, it gets later and it gets colder. Daisy is sitting on Ashtons lap, playing with his hands. He smiles and every once and a while kisses the top of her head or her forehead. Addy was sitting inbetween Luke's legs with her head against his chest. Calum held Alasia close and kept kissing her temple. Anna layed against me, smiling as we shared nose kisses. Everyone was happy.
