"HE'S NOT DEAD," Dustin whispered as him and the boys watched the coffin be lowered into the ground.

"Dusty-"

"No." Dustin shook his head, "We have proof. Will's not dead. He's just... stuck."

"Stuck?" Mary asked, kneeling in front of her brother, "Dustin, if Will's not dead, where is he? And who was the boy in the quarry?"

"Will's in the Upside Down." Dustin whispered after making sure no one else was listening, "And I don't know who that boy in the quarry was, but it wasn't Will."

Mary nodded, patting her brother's head before they went to the funeral. She stood behind the three boys the funeral started. She began to think, will Richard have a funeral? Barb? What if they're never found? Or their bodies? Will they bury an empty casket? Or will the community refuse to believe that they're dead and think they ran off?

When the funeral ended, she dropped them all off at Mike's. Mary sat in the car across the street from Mike's house, watching as the boys and a blonde girl exited from the basement and went into the woods, "What are you guys doing?" Mary asked herself before getting out of the car and following them.

Soon enough, they were deep in the woods. Mary walked in the woods while the children were on the railroad tracks.  Mary wasn't looking where she was going and accidentally broke a stick under her foot. The four kids paused and she swore. "Who's there?!" Mike exclaimed.

Mary sighed and revealed herself, "Mary? Why are you following us?" Dustin asked,

"I figured you guys needed a babysitter." Mary turned towards the girl, "El?"

"Mary." Eleven smiled, hugging the redhead.

She knelt towards the girl and smiled, "Where did you go? I thought the bad men found you!"

"Wait, wait, hold up. You know her?" Mike questioned and Mary nodded,

"She snuck into Benny's and ate my waffles. I brought her home and she disappeared. Where did you guys find her?" Mary asked,

"Near Mirkwood." Mike answered

"Guys, no offense, but it's going to get dark soon. I'd rather find this portal when there's light." Lucas sighed, putting his hands on his hips,

Mary looked at all of them, confused, "Portal?"

Soon the five reached an abandoned junkyard. Dustin stopped walking and looked around, "Oh, no. We're headed back home." He stated,

"What? Are you sure?" Lucas questioned and Dustin turned to the group,

"Yeah, I'm sure. Setting sun, right there. We looped back around." Dustin explained, pointing to the sun,

"And you're just realizing this now?"

"Why is this all on me?" Dustin questioned,

"Because you're the compass genius!" Lucas exclaimed and Mary rolled her eyes as she held Eleven's hand,

"What does yours say?"

Both Mike and Lucas looked down at their compasses, "North." They answered at the same time and Lucas sighed,

"Makes no damn sense." Dustin commented,

"Maybe the gate moved." Mike suggested.

"No, I don't think it's the gate. I think it's something else screwing with the compasses." Dustin replied,

"Maybe it's something here." Mary stated,

Dustin shook his head, "No, it has to be like a super magnet."

"It doesn't have to be a magnet." Lucas said, pointing at Eleven, "She's been acting weirder than normal. If she can slam doors with her mind, she can definitely screw up a compass."

"Why would she do that?" Mary asked Lucas,

"Because she's trying to sabotage our mission. Because she's a traitor!" He exclaimed before walking towards El. Mary pushed the girl behind her to keep him away, "You did it, didn't you? You don't want us to reach the gate. You don't want us to find Will."

"Lucas, come on, seriously, just leave her alone!" Mike exclaimed,

"Admit it." Lucas demanded,

"No." El whispered,

"Admit it!" He reached around Mary and grabbed El's sleeve, revealing the fresh blood on the jacket, "Fresh blood, I knew it. I saw her wiping her nose on the tracks. She was using her powers!"

"Bull! That's old blood!" Mike exclaimed, turning to El, "Right, El?" She didn't respond, looking like she was about to cry, "Right, El?"

"It's... not... It's not safe." She mumbled and they all realized that Eleven was messing with the compass.

Mary wrapped her arms around the young girl as Lucas and Mike fought, "What did I tell you?! She's been playing us from the beginning!"

"That's not true!" Mike defended, "She helped us find Will!"

"Find Will? Find Will?" Lucas questioned, looking around to prove his point, "Where is he then, huh? I don't see him.

"Yeah, You know what I mean." Mike replied,

"No, I actually don't. Just think about it, Mike. She could've told us where the Upside Down was right away but she didn't. She just made us run around like headless chickens." Lucas ranted and Mary furrowed her eyebrows, confused, "She used us, all of us! She helped just enough so she could get what she wants. Food and a bed. She's like a stray dog."

"Don't call her that!" I scolded the boy,

"Screw you, Lucas!" Mike exclaimed,

"No, screw you, Mike. You're blind. Blind because you like that a girl's not grossed out by you! But wake up, man! Wake the hell up!" Lucas yelled, "She knows where will is and now she's just letting him die in the Upside Down."

"Shut up!"

"For all we know, it's her fault." Lucas continued, "We're looking for some stupid monster," He pushed Mike, "But did you ever stop to think that maybe she's the monster?"

"I said shut up!" Mike tackled Lucas to the ground.

Lucas got on top as the three yelled for them to stop. Mary was about to separate the two when Eleven screamed and Lucas flew in the air and knocked his head on a piece of metal. Dustin, Mary, and Mike ran over to Lucas to make sure he was okay. She found a pulse and let out a sigh of relief, "He's okay."

"Why would you do that?!" Mike yelled at Eleven, "What's wrong with you?"

Mary slapped Mike's arm, "She was helping you, you idiot." She went over to the young girl to console her as she sobbed into her jacket.

"I want to go home."
