Tobias/Four wanted to try and exsplain what had happened between himself and Cara. Tris just didn't want to hear it so she ran out of the appartment and down to the chasm and just decided to jump off the side and end her life as she just couldn't cope with the fact that Tobias/Four cheated and also she was having loads of flashbacks of what happened at the bureau. All of the memories had pushed her over the edge quite littruly in this case.
