OH MY GOD I HAVE UPDATED HOLY CRAP
OKAY.
so basically i have changed the plot abit so nobody is after el because this book isn't focused around that so i hope that's okay and i've used some things from the actual episodes but i didn't really see a point in plain out copying the episodes bc that's abit boring and not very creative. anywayyyy
here.
its very very very short but the next chapter is going to be quite long but i just needed to update bc i felt so bad.
wills pov
i laughed as amy stared at the arcade game that dustin was playing in awe. she looked so confused, it was adorable. her eyes widened as the character died causing me to stifle a laugh. her eyes came in contact with mine.
"you laughing at me byers?" she asked jokingly with a raised eyebrow.
"maybe" i replied also raising an eyebrow.
"cut the flirting lovebirds" lucas said and rolled his eyes.
amy and i both made eye contact again and gave eachother a knowing look before turning back to the arcade machine that mike was now playing as el watched intently. i turned my head and looked outside. the all too familiar particles were floating around outside and the dull lighting and bitter coldness that i hoped to never see or feel again, was outside. my eyes widened slightly.
"hey amy d-" i turned around only to realise that there was nobody there. the place was suddenly empty.
suddenly, it completely flashed to the upside down and my heart began to race. i felt myself being drawn outside so i stepped towards the door. a darkness began to appear in the sky but before it could form into anything i felt an arm on my shoulder causing me to flinch and my eyes met with amy's. i looked around again and everything was back to normal.
"are you okay?" she asks with mike standing behind her also looking concerned.
i didn't reply but just looked around. no more toxic particles, no more dullness, no more emptiness, it wasn't as cold, everything was back to like it was before. i gulped and turned my head back to amy and nodded slightly at her giving her a quick smile then grasping onto her hand, walking back into the arcade. i turned to look at the sky again making sure nothing was there and turning forward again trying to forget what i just encountered.
yes that's it. like i said the next chapter will be quite long this is just a filler chapter.
