Scary Stories That Will Chill Your Spine

I have just finished studying the 5th chapter of Chemistry. I glance at the clock and it's midnight. It has been one of the most hectic and nerve racking days of my life. I really feel exhausted, my eyes can barely stay open. I don't seem to have much energy left to look behind me for monsters. This is something that I do all the time. I've been sitting on that chair for quite a while now. Enought to make me start talking to myself. I stand up and head towards the toilet to brush my teeth and I didn't even bother to check if anything was following me.

I know I am getting very paranoid about this. I always hear random unexplained noises from my surroundings. They drive me crazy! Not to mention that just hearing the sound of footsteps freaks me out. I always imagine that, as time melts away the sound becomes louder and gets closer to me. Right after that, I can clearly see it! In my imagination it looks terrifying! A ghost with a wide open mouth ready to arrogantly devour my soul and leave my lifeless body. And before doing that it needs to feast from my fear and start scratching and biting me and talking to me with its high pitched voice!

After several minutes in the bathroom, I go and activate the cameras and sound detectors of my house. I always hear and watch the footage that has been recorded during the night to find that nothing happened. I head to my bed. I felt a presence watching me. I didn't pay any attention cause I always have that feeling and I always check and nothing is there. Moreover my bed sheets feel so soft, I can't help but fall asleep. "At last..." I whispered as I closed my eyes.

~Next Morning~

I woke up and started watching the footage. I see that at 12:30 am (right after I went to sleep) the sound detector of the bathroom alongside with the night vision camera were both activated, the sound of footsteps could be heard approaching the detector getting louder as it went closer. High pitched whispers are all I can hear. They all are very creepy and obscure. I can't understand what it says. The only phrase I can distinguish is "I..... I......" very raspy and soft that at the end it became just air. From the night camera I can see a silhouette barely standing. Trying to keep its balance as it moved back and forth. The infrared thermal camera didn't seem to be activated. Now it started moving again... A horrible chill runs down my spine as I see it walking towards my bedroom. I viewed the night camera of the corridor and I could see it very weirdly moving back and forth as its eyes were pinned on the camera. Then it fell down making the sound of a huge thump. It started aggressively and rapidly crawling and loudly whispering gibberish. I could hear its bones rubbing on the ground and its weird screams. I wasn't alert due to being exhausted. The sound of the crawling started coming towards my bedroom and eventually right in front of me getting very aggressive and loud during the process. A mouth wide open comes quickly right next to my ear. A pale hand touched mine and I felt a very subtle distortion. I couldn't bother my sleep though. If seen from afar, this silhouette looks very menacing. It started moving its hand to my face. And making weird noises... If I was awake I surely would have passed out just from hearing those loud footsteps. The ghost moved its hand back and forth on my face almost like it was caressing me. And it kept doing that for a while. It whispered in my ear "I love you, take care..." as it started slowly crawling away. I can see that now it is very calm and it left with very subtle footsteps unlike the ones it had approached me with before. Almost like it wanted to say goodbye. I can see it! Fully fulfilled and content leaving my room while having a wide smile on its face.
