CHAPTER 6: UNWANTED GUEST

You feel your face heat up with annoyance. 'I'll ask you one more time, what the hell do you want?'
He places a hand on his slim waist, 'What kind of way is that to treat a guest?'
He slips past you, making his way to your livingroom and sitting down.
'Get out!' You exclaim, following him and standing in the doorframe, 'out!'
'Oh come on, (Name), I don't know why you're still so angry at me.' He mutters, scratching his chin.
You freeze, taking deep breaths, 'because you dumped me!'
He shrugs, 'oh, yeah, right.' He chuckles, 'I forgot about that.'
'You forgot? You forgot?'  You were seething,
'Yeah, but I heard from Lottie that you've found yourself a new boyfriend. So, let bygones be bygones, right?' He crosses his arms, noticing your hesitation, 'I just want to be friends again, alright?'
'That's all you want?' You question, standing closer to his tall frame.
'That's all I want,' he assures, ruffling his dark, messy hair, damnit he was still cute. 'So we're friends, (Name)?'
You nod slowly, still trying not to scream at him. 'We're friends, Rudey.'
'So, tell me about this boyfriend of yours.'
'He's not my boyfriend!'

You explained the whole situation to him, resulting in him winding you up by poking at your wrist. He hasn't changed.
'I haven't seen you in a while, what've you been up to anyway?' You ask him, he hesitates.
'U-uh.. Nothing really,' he smirks, crossing his arms.
You know he's lying, 'have you got a new girlfriend?'
He shakes his head, 'not necessarily, uh, it doesn't matter.'
You're sceptical, maybe his new girlfriend is a total downgrade from yourself.
'Anyway, I've been gone a while, my Dad will be sending out a search party, knowing him. I'll see you later, yeah?'
You nod, giggling, 'I'll see you later, Rudey.'
He gets out the front door, turning to you, 'I'm glad we're friends again, you know. I'm sorry we didn't work out, it wasn't your fault, really.'
You nod, beginning to understand, 'it's fine, maybe some other time you can explain everything to me. Alright?'
He nods, baring a big grin as he walks off.

You sit wondering if you should introduce him to your new friends, maybe Noodle would like him too.
Smiling, you put down the photo of you and Rudey from when you first started going out.

'I can't believe I'm doing this.'
