Chapter Four

I am about to fall asleep in the car as we drive up to the hotel. I don't move when we I hear everybody clambering out of the vehicle. I just let Zayn carry me all the way back to our room where he lays me on my bed. He sits down next to me and begins stroking my hair. I lay still, pretending to be asleep.

"I'm so sorry, Ari," I hear him sob. "I'm so sorry."

I instantly sit up and hug him, giving up on the being asleep charade. I missed Zayn so much. I can't even explain how much my heart aches for him to love me again.

"Please let me help, Ari. I want to help you," he says as he hugs me tightly.

I don't answer, not sure if I am ready to tell him about that one night yet. He pulls away from me and holds me by the shoulders, looking me in the eye.

"Please," he begs, his face tear-stained and his eyes red. "Are you ever going to tell me about that night?"

"I don't know," I mumble truthfully.

He pauses and sighs before looking down and standing up. Without saying a word, he walks out of the room. I cry harder than I ever have. I was so close to having him back right when he walked out of my life again. I want to hug him again and just be able to believe that he might have forgiven me.

I stay in the room for another good hour sobbing before I finally decide that I will have to get up eventually. I walk into the bathroom and find myself a mess. Mascara is running down my face and my eyes are red and puffy. I exhale shakily and try not to cry more.

I splash water on my face before wiping the makeup off, but don't bother putting anymore on. I walk out of the bathroom, grab my phone, and start to wonder who I could text to ask where the boys are. I only have Zayn's number, but I don't think he wants to talk to me right now. I sigh and walk down to the lobby in need of fresh air.

"Arielle Malik?" a large man asks me when I exit the elevator.

"Yes?" I ask, immediately scared of him.

"I am one of the boys' bodyguards. I am supposed to bring you to them. My name is Peter," he sings in a friendly tone, sticking his hand out for me to shake.

I place mine out hesitantly and his large hand envelops my small delicate one.

"I'm Arielle," I reply quietly.

He leads me out the front door and into a black SUV where another guard is seated in the driver's seat. We are on the road for a good forty minutes before we pull up into an extremely large parking lot. They pick a spot and I follow them as they walk off in what I assume is the right direction.

We walk for a while and end up in a line to board a monorail. We eventually end up inside and I can see where we are headed now. Cinderella's castle towers over the other small buildings that surround it. My mood lightens slightly, but becomes heavy again when I remember Zayn.

We get off and buy tickets to enter the Magic Kingdom. I hear Peter having a conversation with somebody over the phone as we begin to walk down Main Street.

"Stay close to me," he commands, addressing me.

I try to follow right behind him and the other guard, but the crowd is so thick that I quickly lose them. I try to look over people's heads, but I am too short. I make my way over to one of the shops and go inside. I find a cute pair of earrings and buy them, thinking maybe I will get a text from Zayn soon telling me where they are.

As I am checking out my earrings, I find a map on the counter. I take it and decide that I should enjoy myself while I am here instead of worrying where the boys might be. I look through the list of rides and find the one I am looking for: Space Mountain.

After throwing my new jewelry in my purse, I make my way over to the ride and get in the 'single passenger only' line. I scroll through the hate on my Twitter as I wait in line. I till haven't eaten anything today and my stomach rumbles. I ignore it, not wanting to satisfy the ache from hunger.

"Arielle?" I hear a familiar voice question from behind me.

I turn around and see a guy in a hat and glasses behind me. He pulls the hat off for just a moment and I see the blonde hair that I love.

"Niall? Where is everybody else?" I ask, surprised.

"They didn't want to ride this so it's just me," he answers.

"Oh. Well I lost my guards so I'm on my own, too," I respond, shrugging.

"Maybe after this we could check out Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?" he asks hopefully.

"Sounds good," I beam, a genuine smile appearing on my face.
