natashas pov.

when Cerulean ran off it was immintent she was upset and embarrassed. I spun around from watching her run away and looked toward Fury. "HOW DARE YOU?! THAT POOR GIRL HAS BEEN THROUGH MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER UNDERSTAND! YOU JUST EMBARRASED HER IN FRONT OF ALL OF US! All shes ever wanted was to be a hero. now youve crushed all of her damn dreams of ever being one. you ripped her from the sea. you were the one who to tell her she had a chance. what now huh?! when you see her next, you are to apologize." with that I spun around and ran after Cerulean.

I ran through the halls looking for her. "I hope shes in her room..." I booked it down that way and found her door closed. I placed mt hand gently against the door and opened it silently.  I walked in and looked around her room 'hero' was printed above her bed. tears pricked in my eyes. I looked down and noticed there was a giant lump in her bed. I reached for the blanket and found her curled up in a ball underneath. I sat next to her and stroked her cheek with the back of my finger. she stretched out and leaned toward my hand in her sleep. I moved closer to her and pulled her head into my lap. I stroked her hair softly as I watched her breathe in and out evenly. the door opened again and I grabbed my pistol and aimed directly for Clints head. "friendly." he whisper yelled in shock.  behind him I could see the others peering in cautiously. he walked in and sat on the end of her bed. "shes just a kid.. do you guys really think shes the best thing right now to help us find and defeat Loki?" Tony spoke out looking over the newspaper clippings on her desk. "shes stronger than she looks tony. By the way she propelled herself through the air with that dolphin... shes strong." Steve respnded back. She stirred quietly in her sleep. "she is just a kid though steve..." bruce said softly. "on asgard, children were on the front line of wars. I was younger than the young maiden the first time I went to war with father." everyone silenced at this. "briefing is tomorrow. we go after loki afterward." tony announced.

Ceruleans pov. I woke up with a splitting headache. my room was quiet. I sniffed the air to find a lingering scent of cologne. clint doesnt wear cologne.. neither does Fury. Tony? I raised an eyebrow at this and got up. "I probably already missed briefing.." "no you didnt Cee."  I turned around to see Nat standing in the doorway. "briefings being held in a half hour." "oh." I nodded once. I grabbed my hair brush and started going through it. "why was stark in my room anyway?"she looked at me through the mirror. "not just stark. Bruce, Thor, Steve, Clint and myself as well... we wanted to make sure you were okay." I nodded looking down. "Nat.. what if im not ready to go on missions?" I blurted. "you are ready. for pete sakes Clint and I didnt train you just so you could sit at the bottom of the ocean on repair duty." she laughed. "I believe in you Cee." I tied my hair up in a ponytail and grabbed my suit. I went into the bathroom and silently changed into the sleeveless corset skin tight blue and black suit. I walked out and sat on my bed putting on black knee high boots. I laced them and moved onto my black fingerless gloves. I turned around and looked at Natasha who was smirking at me. "thats my girl." I rolled my eyes and walked past her. She linked her arm with mine a we walked down the hall. all that was heard was the sound of shuffling leather against the cement ground. we came to the main control room door.

I took a deep breath and walked through as the door opened. Everything was busy as the staff walked around. Something felt different.. I had been in this area of the helicarrier before, but it never felt this.. well. I dunno how to put it, important.. I guess.

Nat pulled me with her to sit at a table, along side the guys I had met the previous night. the only thing is, Clint was missing. "Nat.. wheres Clint?" I whispered quietly. "he was... compromised." she whispered back. I looked at my hands under the table. "no.." "Cerulean." i snapped my head up to him and stood at attention facing fury with a stone hard look on my face. "yes sir?" I asked with my right hand saluting him at my brow. "at ease." I somewhat relaxed and dropped my hand but still looked at him in question. "i apologize for how I acted yesterday." "with all due respect sir.. I disrespected you. youre the commanding officer and im.. just a kid." I looked down as I acknowledged I was a child. "that doesnt make it any more right. you may be young. and a bit inexperienced.  but you have what it takes to save the world. I want you to join the team. The Avengers." I looked up at him my mouth gaping open. "if you feel like 'a kid' like you can handle it." "ill certainly try.. Thank you sir." I sat back down keeping a straight face on. Natasha handed me an folder with information inside. we were all looking it over. "alright people. loki has been spotted in germany." "the diva decided to leave himself wide open." Tony chuckled. "diva?" "his personality Cerulean. youll find out." I quirked an eyebrow. "so what were dealing with a drag queen?" I asked him seriously. he stopped, looking at thor and looked at me bewildered. thor looked like he was gonna break something.. all of a sudden Tony started laughing. "I like this rookie!" I scrunched my eyebrows together. I rolled my eyes and got up as nat stood. I followed her as she left and walked to the jet. I stopped before she got in. she turned around and looked at me. "you coming with me?" I nodded and ran up after her. Steve got in with us, but tony was nowhere to be found. thor flew beside the jet and bruce stayed behind. I stood in the area behind the pilot seat and I watched as the clouds flew by. "arent you dizzy standing like that without holding onto anything?" I turned around to see Steve looking at me from holding onto the rafter of the plane. "not really. I live in the ocean.. so I guess it comes natural to be used to such gravitational pulls.." I shrugged my shoulders dismissing the matter. "were coming to the drop point." 'I will bring you home Clint..' I thought clenching a fist silently.

there was a crowd of people. they were surrounded by the same man, he was tall, black slicked hair and a helmet with horns. he wore robes similar to thors, but a much more devious color scheme. you could see he meant business. I looked at steve then back to the man. I realized that he was going to kill an innocent man who stood up to him. I spun around and when I realized steve was gone I summoned my aqua shifter board and used it to fly down undetected. I saw steve protect the elderly man. one of Loki's clones came up behind steve and I flew down and put myself between the two throwing up an energy field. it disappeared and I flew in front of both Steve and the man. I threw my hands out and surrounded him in a circular orb. I had jumped off of the board before i summoned the orb. I glared at him but kept him in one place. all of a sudden a rush of air went blasting by my head and the sound followed soon after. I nearly fell over anf lost my grip on Loki releasing him. I followed the blast and saw tony in his iron man suit at the end of the trail. "are you kidding me stark?" "kidding what?" tony threatened Loki as he tried to escape. I clenched my fist and went over to Tony. "You could have blown my eardrums to bits you idiot!" "I had it handled kid." I rolled my eyes and turned around walking away to get back in the jet. Steve looked at me in question and I glanced at him then returned to glaring at the ground. I was almost to the jet when I felt a shift of air behind me. I spun around and absorbed a massive amount of energy and then shot it back at Loki. he looked shocked that I could do so, up until he disappeared. "what the? where did he-?" I was grabbed from behind. his arm was around my throat the metal digging into my neck. I gasped from the contact. I struggled against him and tried getting free. "Cerulean!" everything was moving fast around me. people were yelling. out of nowhere he held up his glowing blue spear like object at my throat. I could feel the energy radiating off of the glowing orb. I looked at it and my eyes felt strange. all of a sudden I felt energy rush through my entire body and it radiated off of me pushing loki off and directly into his brother. I looked at my now free hands and saw my entire body was glowing bright blue with tones of green. it slowly stopped and I turned around looking at Loki, then at the scepter, then to Tony and Steve, and back to the scepter again. I leaned down and grabbed it then jumped up onto my aqua board and flew off back to the helicarrier ignoring the yells from the others. the wind whipped around my face as I flew. my hands clenched the scepter. I came to the helicarrier and i flew into the landing bay. I used my board to hover down the hall to the main room. As the doors opened I went over to the table and threw the scepter down. "where are the others?" I didnt answer fury. "Agent! Report!" he yelled towards me as they all came into the room. I turned around and glared at him keeping a straight face. He looked at Loki and Thor. "lock him up." as the brothers left fury looked at the rest of us

"I see the mission was a success." as I heard him say that, I jumped off of my board and I huffed out a breath. "you have something to say miss Devan?" "you call this." I pointed to the scepter. "and that." I getured to the way the brothers had gone. "as success? Clint is still out there.  the tesseract is still out there. the world is still in danger." I growled at him. "im well aware Cerulean." he growled back. I rolled my eyes and hopped back up onto my board. "nat, you know where to find me." I said as I flew out of the room on it. I went straight to the training room and jumped off my board as it disappeared. I opened the door and let my thoughts drift off to Clint. 'I will find you...'
