Hello, my friends! I decided to write this much earlier since I knew I would need time to get this done. I was thinking about what I could do with Halloween, and I came up with this.
**SMALL DISCLAIMER:Unlike other seasonal specials, this one will be completely different and in a different AU. That also means the characters won't remember anything that happened in this special.**Reader will remember that.
I think this AU will be pretty easy to guess. It's not a specific one, but has some components of a few generic ones.
Your POV
My father decided to take us to Hollywood to meet up with some of his investors and have a little Halloween get-together. We were a family of royals, but we knew when we could let loose and have a little fun, of course.
Being a princess in this decade wasn't all about huge, frilly dresses which meant that dressing up as a medieval princess was still acceptable. I told my tailors to make the dress less flashy and the dress came out pretty good. I'm actually quite satisfied with it.We were told to meet up at a movie theatre near a parking spot that had "VIP" printed on it. My family said they would meet me there since I wanted to look around a little bit.
The party starts at nine o'clock, so I had a few hours to look around. I better not get this dress stained or else my parents are gonna kill me. I walked out of the parking lot and found myself in front of a movie theatre. Weird enough, there were two theatres close to each other. The theatre I'm going to is further from here. I walked around taking in the sight. The area was scattered with jack-o-lanterns and a few hay bales. There were Halloween decorations everywhere. Just as I thought that wasn't the last of the spook, a shady person walked up to me. He was wearing a Van Helsing outfit.
"Hey there princess, you look a bit lost. Need some help?" He smirked.
"No thanks, I know where I'm going." He got a bit closer and I started taking a few steps back. He brought up his glowing mechanical arm.
"Now, now. No need to struggle. It'll be easy if you jus-- EEEK!!" He suddenly fell to his knees squirming everywhere.
"G-Get it off!!" Get what off?
"THERE'S A FROG IN MY SHIRT!! GAAHH GET IT OUT!!" I heard a few muffled croaks.
"Serves you right." I laughed. The frog hopped out of his shirt and the guy combat rolled away.
"You alright, miss? Wouldn't want to damage that dress of yours!" The frog looked up at me.
"... You talk?" I questioned.
"Yea." He nodded.
"Well um... Thanks."
"That wasn't very pleasant, I'll say that for sure! He had a lot of chest hair..." The frog shuddered. The frog had some sick dreads for some reason. Not exactly sure why...
"Sorry for making you go through all of that, Mr ...?" I tilted my head.
"Mr Frog. Let's leave it at that." He replied.
"I can't believe I'm talking to a frog..."
"I get that a lot. Don't worry, I'm not usually a frog. I'm actually a prestigious prince who lives in a castle!-- ... I wish." He looked down.
"Let me guess, you got cursed?"
"I just wanted some extra candy, okay?!" He hopped around in shame. I sighed in response.
"I just need to find the alchemist. For some reason she's dressed up as a pirate..."
"Disguise, maybe?" I questioned.
"Yeah, probably. I mean, they said she's lurking around with a viking somewhere... Maybe that's why. Speaking of vikings... We'll also have to get past his defences." He sighed.
"Why are there so many threats around here??? I just want to go to a Halloween party!"
"The full moon is almost out. This is like the purge for people like them. And tonight, I have the chance of being un-cursed!" He hopped with hope.
"Well good luck with that. Nice meeting you, Mr Frog." I walked away.
"W-Wait!!" He followed me.
"Yes? Is there something I can do for you?" I turned around.
"M-Maybe I can help you get past them! And in return... You could help me get rid of this curse!"
"I mean... I don't see why not. Sure. I just hope I don't die trying to get there."
"Don't worry! I'll make sure you don't." He assured me.
"Follow me." I did as the little frog said as we walked and hopped through the streets of Hollywood.
"So... You come around here often?" He asked.
"Not very often, actually." I said.
"I know these streets inside out. Just follow me. I think this is the place where the Oni and the Demon hang out."
"They just kinda... Chill out?" I asked.
"Yeah. They wait for the Dragon-- known as The Summoner."
"Why?"
"They're looking to make a deal with her. Not sure what their motives are, but it can't be good." We made it to an area with a limo and entered a room that had tables with candy cluttered over them.
"You dare challenge The Summoner!?" I peeked out and saw a woman who took the form of a dragon hovering in the air.
"I-Is that the Dragon you were talking about?"
"Indeed. She's quite a sassy one. Definitely not my type." He shook his little head.
"I see..." I watched two dark figures emerge from the shadows.
"Listen, we aren't here to cause any trouble." It was the Oni and the Demon. The Oni took off its mask to reveal his face. He seemed like a normal man in an Oni costume. Not surprised. The Oni wielded two katanas while his comrade had a bow. The archer caught me in the corner of his eye. In a split second, he was right in front of me.
"Who are you?" His glowing eyes stared me down.
"... Just some noble going to a Halloween party." I said. He gave me a doubtful look, then looked at his buddy and motioned him to get over here.
"What do we have here?" I heard Mr. Frog's aggressive croaks below me. The Oni crouched to look at Mr Frog.
"Hey man, we're just trying to get around the purge. Let us live, bro." They spoke in their language and nodded.
"Fine. We'll spare you. But you owe us something, princess." The Demon was right in my face.
