Chapter 1
Hi, my name is Brooke, and I live in Port Moody, BC. I am 13 years old and I live in an apartment building on the 17th floor, at a place called Newport. I have 4 other friends, my age, in the apartment building; Haley on the 10th floor, Piper on the 21st floor, Morgan on the 8th floor and Toby on the 5th floor. It's really hard to hang out all at once because we have to go to 5 different floors to get everyone. That's why we always go to that frozen yogurt place down the street, Menchies, to meet up.
"Hmm... What flavour should I get today?" Piper asked herself. "Ooh! They have a new flavour! Blueberry-Brain Freeze? Sounds interesting!" Piper filled her yogurt cup all the way to the top with Blueberry-Brain Freeze.
"I think I'm going to get my usual Cookies and Cream," Morgan says as he fills up his cup.
"Strawberry Banana looks good," Haley smiled.
"You guys only get ONE flavour? I always get 4 flavours: Cookies and Cream, Fudge, Red Velvet and Vanilla!" Toby says with pride.
"Eew! That must be SO sweet!" I said to Toby, sticking my tongue out. I never had a sweet tooth, anyway.
"You can never have anything TOO sweet!" Toby replied, licking his lips and he filled his yogurt cup with his 4 'usual' flavours. Everyone put their toppings on and paid for their yogurt, then we all sat down at the biggest table in the room to eat our delicious creations.
