The Frozen Yogurt Ch. 5

I finished packing and went back to Haley's apartment. And of course, they were still watching this mystery show that no one knows the name of.

"Haley! Morgan! I have to tell you something REALLY important!" I said as I ran over to them.

"Ok, what is it?" Haley asked.

"It's about Piper's parents. I had to tell them about the trip, and said that we were going to the aquarium for a week-"

"Why the aquarium?" Morgan asked.

"If I said we were going to Edmonton, they would never let her go," I replied.

"Ooh, smart," Morgan smiled.

"And I told them to tell Toby's parents about it, too. So they also know," I continued. "We have to leave tomorrow, so I will say that Piper and Toby are sleeping over."

"Okay," Haley said.

"I'm actually quite excited!" Morgan smiled.

"Okay. Well, I gotta get ready for tomorrow. Bye," I said.

"Wait! Brooke, do you want to have a sleep over at my place? Morgan is staying over," Haley smiled.

I thought about it. "Sure! I'll just go ask my mom if I can," I replied.

"Okay!" Haley said.

Once again, I was going all the way back to my apartment. I walked in and saw Maddy looking up at me.

"What do you want?" I asked her.

"I want to know more about your trip!" She said.

"Okay. Can I tell you a secret?" I said. I was going to tell her why we are really going on this trip. "But you have to promise not to tell ANYONE. Not even mom or dad. Can I trust you?"

"I can keep a secret!" She smiled. I figured I can just tell her, since if she does tell anyone, they will think she's just making it up.

"I'm not going on a trip for school, I'm actually going to find secret treasure," I whispered.

"Really??" She asked, her eyes big and curious. "Why?"

"Because Piper and Toby have been turned into frozen yogurt by the evil manager of Menchies and the only way we can turn them back into people is finding secret treasure in Alberta." Now that I say my problem out loud, it sounds completely ridiculous.

"Wow! I won't tell anyone, I promise. I hope you can find the treasure!" She giggled.

"Thanks, Maddy. I'm glad I can trust you," I told her. It felt nice to make her feel good. Then I remembered why I came home.

"Oh yeah! Mom, can I have a sleepover at Haley's place? Morgan is staying over," I asked my mom.

"Of course, honey! Just pack up your pyjamas, sleeping bag, and toothbrush," Mom replied. I got my favourite PJ's, the ones with the dogs on them, took my toothbrush and sleeping bag, then headed back to Haley's place.

"Hello!" I said as I walked in through the front door.

"Hi, Brooke! Come here!" Haley said. I walked over there and saw them STILL watching that random show.

"We found out what it is called," Morgan smiled.

"Really? What's it called?" I asked excitedly. I was so curious.

"It's called Detective Dennis. It's a mystery show," Haley replied.

"If it's a mystery show then why is there a unicorn? Seems more like a fantasy," I asked, pointing to the unicorn flying through the sky on the TV.

"It is a mystery show, and that is a mystery," Morgan laughed. "The unicorn came out of nowhere. It's a weird show."

"Enough about Detective Dennis. Are you guys ready for tomorrow?" I was trying to change the subject.

"What's tomorrow?" Morgan asked, his face practically glued to the TV.

"OUR 'FIELD TRIP'!" I yelled. "How could you forget?"

Haley started laughing. "I'm going to turn off the TV now..." And she turned it off.

"Hey!" Morgan said.

"I did it for your own good," Haley laughed.

"No one ate the yogurt, right?" I asked.

"Nope. It's still in the freezer. I told my mom not to eat them," Haley smiled.

"Okay. So do you guys want to play a game?" I asked.

"Sure! How about Monopoly?" Haley said, holding up a monopoly game.

"Yeah!" Morgan and I replied. We played for hours and hours.

Sorry I haven't updated in like 500 years, when I felt like working on the story, I was busy, when I had time, I didn't feel like working on it.
