I run to Caleb, he's trembling and pale, I look at him, his eyes twinkling with fright. He's my only family left, should I feel guilty for making him have to go into a gas room? I don't know, but I don't.

But then, I do. The guilt comes rushing in, memories long forgotten, he was practically my teacher, my mentor teaching me how to do good, to be selfless and me thanking him. Without it, I wouldn't survive in Abnegation. I could've become factionless before I turned sixteen. I grab his hand, it's cold and sweaty but the same as mine. I stare at him, "Caleb," I splutter. "Caleb, you don't have to do this." My face gets hot, but I blink back the tears. "I don't have a choice, Tris! You all want me to do this."

I feel a stab of pain in my stomach, I don't want him too. I know he has betrayed me, but that doesn't make him any less of my brother. "Caleb..." "No, Tris!" He pushes me away and starts walking towards the vault. I run after him and grab his arm, "I'm going in there and you can't stop me." He looks at me, surprised, "Wha- But... You-" "I am going in Caleb," I cut him off, "I have more of a chance to survive." He knows I'm right but he's concerned and confused, he opens his mouth to say a idea to discourage me, but I get in first. "If I don't make it, tell Tobias I didn't want to leave him." I give Caleb a sincere hug and run to the vault, I lay the explosives and burst the door, the serum goes off filling the room with highly toxic gas, soon I start to gag, I didn't even have the gas suit on, I cough and splutter crawling to the door inside the vault. I refuse to die here, no, not here, not now. I'm not going to die, I won't. I start seeing extreme hallucinations of my Mother and Father getting shot, "Mother! Father! NO!" I scream into the air but it comes out like a straggled whine, I hold my breath and climb towards the door, I see the pin code, the numbers. I feel so weak and tired, I should just go to sleep. No, no I won't, I'm not dying on this floor. I won't die here. I crawl until my eyes sting and burn, tears sprinting down my cheeks, my clothes soaked in sweat and my skin is burning. I reach the door and lean against it, "Hello, Beatrice..." I hear wheels coming through the purple gas, "David...?" I squeak, "How did you manage to get the immunity serum?!" He shouts, red in the face, "There was a serum?" I mutter weakly but fiercely. "You mean, you don't have it? That's impossible!" He says angrily but curious. I sneakily start entering in the pin, punching down the numbers with my fingers behind my back. I cannot feel my hands and feet and I topple down, David gets his gun out and aims it at my face, "You're not getting anywhere near it." He says with a smile creeping over his face. I heave myself up again, I hear a bang but feel nothing, I start hitting the other buttons, David reloads his gun, "Stop now, Beatrice!" He shouts, I turn my head just as he fires, it doesn't hit me but it fires next to my head, I slump down on the ground, excessively weak due to the gas, he goes up to me and presses the barrel to my forehead. "Goodbye Beatrice Prior, oh how such a useful life is put to waste." I don't have enough strength to close my eyes but I go to sleep anyway.

I wake up with a start, I'm in a bed, in a dark room. Where am I? I look around and feel the blankets over me, I acknowledge the faint beeping sound of my heart monitor. A large shot of pain gushes through my leg, I cry out and slowly lift the covers from my legs, I see a bullet wound in the side of my thigh, it burns from the toxic gas from the chamber. I don't recall getting shot but it must've been the numbness blocking it out. My leg is slightly bandaged and it's heavily bloodstained. My adrenaline has ran out because I feel quite exhausted. I hear a shout outside my room and my door starts to slowly open and Christina pokes her head in and see's me awake, "Tris?" She asks, obviously not sure if I'm properly awake or not. "Hey, Christina." I smile weakly, she races across my room at the side of my bed. "Tris, you're so stupid! Why would you do such a thing? David almost killed you, I cannot live without you." She whispers angrily. "But I'm so glad you made it, David got injected with the memory serum so, he won't remember anything." She says placing her arms around me. "Tobias?" I ask gently. "He's worried sick, literally, he's been vomiting all morning." She says, concerned. "Morning?" I say, confused, "I was at the vault this morning." I say to her, puzzled. "You've been out a lot longer than you think, two whole days, girl." She smiles. "You're a heavy sleeper too, we put that bandage around your leg real tightly and you didn't even stir." She says, I laugh. Suddenly we hear a knock on the door, "come in!" Christina shouts. Tobias walks in "What are you doing in here, she mightn't even wak-" He stops and stares intently into my eyes, just frozen. "Tr-Tris?" He whispers. I smile at him, Christina looks at both of us and gets up, she pulls Tobias's arm towards me because he's just in shock, I hook my hands around his, they're cold and dry. He snaps back to life and wraps his strong arms around me, shaking intently, I caress his hair, twirling it around my fingers. "I thought - I thought I lost you. It scared me, you scared me, Tris." His voice shakes into my ear, but his breathing patterns are firm and warm, he holds my tightly, his strength and capability comforts me - reminds me that I have someone who is capable of protecting me, who is indestructible. His warm body against mine, Christina manages to creep out without us knowing. All I hear is the click of the door. I slip my hands under his collar, tracing his tattoos and his warm back, I run my fingers over his shoulder blades, he shivers, but hardly noticeable. He starts kissing my neck, leading up to my jaw then fitting his mouth onto mine, our noses touching. He sets his hand under my jaw, running his thumb over my cheek while kissing me intently. I feel my hands under the front of his shirt, caressing the lines in his abdomen and chest, he's very muscular, the lines go deep into his stomach. His hands slide under my top, feeling my stomach and my hips, our kissing intensifies, I run my hands up his sides. "Why did you go in?" He whispers calmly into my ear. "Because, I couldn't live with the fact I basically killed my own brother." I whisper back. "But he contributed in helping to torture you, Tris, they almost killed you." He replies, obviously confused. "I know, but he's the only family I have left, and he taught me to forgive, that grudges are self-indulgent." I say, looking into his eyes. They're buzzing from relief that I woke. "I guess so. I'm just so thrilled that you woke up, I couldn't stand the tension, I almost strangled David, but got restraint." He says breathlessly. I place my arms on his shoulders and breathe in his smell - wind and sweat. The smell I love.

2 years later

Tris

"Come on, Tobias!" I shout from the train, Uriah (YES, URIAH SURVIVED THE BOMB AND RECOVERED FROM HIS MINOR CONCUSSION, HE WAS ONLY WALKING NEAR THE STATUE) comes sprinting and leaps onto the train, I grab his arm to stabilize him, Christina jumps second and Uriah catches her, their hands intertwine. She blushes and stands next to me, encouraging Tobias to hurry up, Zeke leaps onto the train and Uriah pulls him up to his feet. Tobias gains speed, his bare arms pumping and heaves himself on the train, I catch him and kiss his cheek. "Where are we even going?" He asks, Christina smiles at him, knowingly. "You'll see, buddy-boy." "Should I be scared?" He smirks. "Only if you're afraid of heights!" Christina laughs. Tobias stares at me. "You knew?!" His mouth drops open, "not only that, I suggested it." We all crack up laughing apart from Tobias who just gulps and looks genuinely scared. When we get to Dauntless, we jump off and start walking, Tobias's sweating is now visible on his forehead, I grab his hand, it's hot and wet, while mine being cool and dry. We go to this building and up the elevator we go, Tobias looks visibly sick but he holds my hand firmly. We reach the roof and there is a sling contraption, Tobias gives me a stern look, his bushy eyebrows close to his dark blue eyes. "Okay, who's first?" Zeke say slyly, preparing the sling. "What? Don't tell me we're getting in that thing!" Tobias exclaims. "Uhh... Why else are we on this roof?" Christina giggles, while I try to hide my smile underneath my hand. Uriah gets strapped in head first and whizzes off down the line, we hear his screams of joy, but I guess to Tobias it's screams of death. Christina goes second and it's just me and Tobias. Zeke whispers an idea to me and I nod, I slip myself in the sling and beckon to Tobias. "What? No way I'm doing that, Tris!" He exclaims, his eyes shining in the setting sun. "Would you do this for me if I died?" I ask, his expression changes completely, his face thoughtful. He walks over and slides in beside me, Zeke smiling at me. I look at Tobias and grab his hand and he squeezes it, his knuckles going white. His palm is cold and sweaty, he braces himself as we whiz off, he forces his eyes open and looks at me, I spread my free arm and scream and yell with joy, the wind embracing my face and hair, adrenaline rushing into the tips of my fingers and toes. I feel free.... Free with him.

Suddenly Tobias releases my hands and stretches his arms out, he lets out a scream too, I grab his outstretched hand and our energy combines,

We are one,

Six and Four.
