Sariyah
*Next Day*
I sat back in the passenger seat of my black on black 2020 Tesla Model X, while Safarie drove us to her tattoo shop. I didn't have anything to do today so I decided to tag along with her.
After 45 minutes digging through my closet this morning I settled on a straight shoulder length wig today, I tend to pick whichever wig I'm feeling for the day then pick my outfit after. I paired my wig with a sheer cutout black bodysuit with geometric straps and some lightly distressed high waisted jeans and some black flip flops.
10k Hours by Jhene Aiko ft Nas played lightly in the background while Safarie chatted on the phone with the tattoo shops receptionist.
"Tell him I'm pulling in now and we can start his consultation as soon as I'm settled"
I raised my eyebrow in her direction since she had previously told me she had no appointments today and we were only stopping by so she could pick up any walk-ins for an hour or two.
Before I could ask any questions Safarie had pulled into a spot and threw the car in park, hopping out. I swear this girl would lose her head without me.
I grabbed both of our purses and my phone, since she already had hers, and my bag of snacks I had packed. I hopped out and locked the doors using the app on my phone before slowly walking into the shop.
"YAHYAH!"
I almost lost my balance and had to use the wall to support both of our weight.
I chuckled wrapping my full arms around the shops receptionist, Lola.
"Hey Lalo"
I greeted her using the nickname I came up with almost 2 years ago when I first met her.
"Where have you been hiding mamí?"
I shrugged, blushing slightly at her slight accent.
"Just around, trying to keep up with Farie"
She chuckled while shaking her head knowing how much of a chore that was.
"Me and Safarie are taking our lunch breaks together. you coming?"
I nodded before heading back to Safarie's room as a customer walked through the door, grabbing Lola's full attention.
I knocked before walking through the door that said Safarie Love above it in old time cursive.
As soon as I entered the room I was hit with a wall of smoke and the finest man I had ever seen.
DaveI raised my eyebrow at the girl who had entered the room and had yet to speak.
"Marlee, you ok?"
I looked over at Safarie, the artist I had be researching to do my next piece, as she addressed the girl who had walked in with nothing but pure concern.
'Marlee' simply nodded and sat herself on the stool across from the couch we were sitting on, going over ideas.
Seeing as this was a smoke friendly shop I continued to smoke, occasionally stealing glances at 'Marlee' while trying to pay attention to the task at hand.
"Oh! How rude. Dave this is my bestfriend Sariyah, Sariyah this is Dave, he just moved to Malibu from Harlem"
I licked my lips giving her a slight head while fully taking her in since I could now stare without it being uncomfortable.
She waved then leaned forward placing elbows on her knees and he chin in the palm on her hand.
"That's a big move Mr. Dave. Why so far?"
I shrugged and smirked.
"A nice change of scenery and hopefully some new opportunities"
I sent her a small wink.
"Well, that should do it. You can make your appointment with Lola at the front desk"
I nodded putting out my blunt, leaving the roach in the ashtray that was on the table.
"Thank you Safarie, I'll see you soon."
I stood up, brushing off my lap and collecting all my belonging.
"Hopefully I see you soon as well, Ms. Sariyah."
I sent her one more wink before heading to the receptionist desk.
Sariyah is fine as hell, hopefully I do see her around.
